Wearing La Canadienne boots is like walking on clouds... I am very impressed with the comfort and quality of these boots. I am new to the La Canadienne brand, but the Tami will not be my last pair of boots from this company. These are fantastic cold weather boots. The 8 regular, (my usual size), was sold out in black, so I bought the 8W. This will work fine with heavy socks. I am 5'8", and the extended boot hits right at the lower bend of my knee. I can wear jeans inside these boots easily, (my calves are slender, but I think muscular calves would fit too). I find the boot shaft and ankle roomy but not baggy. It is very easy to get your foot in and out of this boot, even though there is no partial zip. I would love to see another version of this boot designed with the a wedge heel in the 2-2 1/2 " range. La Canadienne is a much better quality boot than other brands for the money. I am definitely sold on the company and Zappos is, without a doubt, the best store online for service.

Amazing and well worth the price tag! These boots are perfect for all of your cold weather/high fashion needs. As a teacher I endure long hours on my feet, with these boots I feel supported all day long. They keep my feet toasty and warm, and fit true to size. I have purchased many shoes from this brand and have never been disappointed.

These boots are a perfect fit. They are the warmest and most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I put them on with everything. They look great pulled up or rolled over. I like them best pulled up since I am 5\'11" tall. I wear them with skirts, skinny pants and ski pants. I never want to take them off and plan to get another pair in a different color. They are super soft if worn without socks and that is the best way to try them on for size as they do give a tad over time.

This is the most beautiful boot. It fit my 16" calf and was very comfortable. I sent it back because I couldn't justify the price, but I put it on my wish list!

Incredibly beautiful & luxurious boot that is supremely functional too. I ordered this & "Tasha" in 9.5 because I wasn't sure which I would like better. Tami runs a bit small so I am returning it. If I lived where winters were extremely harsh, I would exchange them for a size 10. I am keeping the Tasha because it felt great as soon as I put them on and they are a bit sleeker looking than the Tami.

I got these in brown off eBay, not knowing what a buy I was getting until now that I'm looking to get them in black! These boots are the best. The shearling goes all the way down into the foot - top and bottom - not just in the shaft. I find I never need heavy socks with these. That's great for work - you can slip on your dress shoes when you get to the office without having to change socks and all. They're also so comfy that I sometimes don't realize I'm still wearing them around the house long after I've come home. I'd say they are true to size, but be aware that they do not have a tight fit inside because of the shearling. I personally like the roominess. I don't need pinched toes while I'm trying not to fall down in the street. Unlike some shearling boots, these are made with good support. The boots will not look like you've been walking on your ankles after a few wearings. (I'll be nice and not mention the brand most guilty of this, but you have heard of them - constantly.) I've had no water leaks whatsoever, and I have stood in many a filthy 6-inch slush puddle on many a NY street corner. BEST OF ALL - the traction is perfect. No sense looking cute if you're flat on your behind! Also, Zappos never ceases to top themselves with customer service. When I get used to the fact that the fair price for these is 10 times what I paid for them (guess that eBay seller was on hard times!), I will be purchasing these from Zappos and not regretting it!

This is my third pair of La Canadienne boots, but these are the first pair that I bought for practicality. I hesitated because of the price. I love these boots. I wear them without socks and my feet stay toasty warm. Expensive, yes. An excellent investment that carries you from work through a dinner engagement? Absolutely. They are the best.

This boot tore at the top seam within one month. Zappos was willing to take the boot back, but I loved the boots and needed another pair, and none were left in stock. I ended up buying the boot somewhere else. When I called La Canadienne they were spectacularly unhelpful. For boots this expensive, I expected much more from their customer service. Bottom line: pull these boots on from the base and not near the seam.

I bought a few different styles of winter boots from Zappos to try on, so I could compare & pick my favorite. Another La Canadienne boot (Vale) was the winner. The Tami was too unstructured for me; the boot part is structured but the rest of the boot is floppy & falls down a bit. No question La Canadienne is worth every penny, their boots are beautifully made and super warm. Haven't tested outdoors yet for waterproofing, but walking around inside my feet are hot, which is a good sign, because I normally freeze outside.

I have purchased these boots at least six years ago in a department store in New York City and I am still wearing them. I usually put them on when it is very cold and/or snowing and they are unbelievably warm, comfortable and truly waterproof. They are on the expensive side but completely worth the price!
