These are very high-quality boots. I ordered 8 pairs of black boots, determined to find the best (thanks to Zappos' great return policy!). These were my second favorite. I chose the La Canadienne Tracy boots instead because they have a thicker, flat sole rather than the heel, so they are more comfortable for all day on your feet or doing a lot of walking. Though the heel on these is not that big, I think you would definitely feel it over time (I am not a heel person though). However, I think the craftsmanship on the La Canadienne boots is excellent, and I am extremely happy with my Tracy boots. They are truly waterproof, wear very well (do not show scuffs etc.), fit great and look great.

I really wanted to keep these boots but alas, my legs are just a little too short and my "athletic" calves make the boots pinch just a little too much. I will have to send them back. Other than the calf issue, I like the style, comfort, durability and waterproofness. My calf is about 14.5 inches around (37cm).

Since I live in the Pacific Northwest, I really like this boot for the style and the waterproof-ness. So I ordered my size (8.5M), and they fit my foot just fine, but my calves were too big and I could not zip them up! Sad to return these because this boot is perfect in almost every other way. I also would tend to agree with some of the other reviews about the leather quality being not-quite-top-notch. But the leather was soft and nice-looking.

Got it half a size larger and glad I did. Super comfortable, even walking long distances, and I have horribly sensitive feet. So glad I decided to keep these boots! I love this brand!

I loved the style of this boot, but the calf area was just too baggy on me. It fit well at the top, but it curved out in a weird way that made it bunch funny along my leg. I just cannot find boots for slender legs. This is probably my 10th pair that is going back! So sad because I loved the style, comfort, and waterproof-ness of this boot.

I love these boots! They are very comfortable and look great with jeans or short skirt. I wore them all day the first time I put them on and hated to take them off at night.

These boots are absolutely the best boots I have ever had. I have been looking for a pair of black boots that are comfortable, not too hot and look good for work or casual. These are it! I love them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the classic black boot. They look terrific too. And feel great! And I have never been able to find all that in one boot, particularly the comfort.

These boots are not bad. I have small calves and they fit close to the leg when wearing skinny jeans. I can also wear them with thicker jeans (e.g. Real Straight style from Gap) but you have to fold the bottom and it's pretty tight. I wear these boots all day, standing and walking, and they are comfortable. Also, warm. Haven't had enough snow yet to comment on the waterproof aspect. I ordered several riding boots styles, all from La Canadienne, and found these to be the best fit (not too tight) and combo of casual but not too chunky/bulky looking. I also liked the Parma, which were also a good fit and looser in the shaft. But I thought they looked too casual to wear with a nice top. If you are more of a jeans and T-shirt gal, go with the Parma instead.

My long-long search is over. I am so happy I found these boots. Finally, something that looks good on thin calves. I have tried, well, around 15 pairs this season, and almost settled for something else; but these are way better, by the fact that they are waterproofed. I normally wear 7.5, but in this brand I have to buy 7. I am petite 5'2' 110 lbs.

I have been looking for these boots forever, and was so happy to finally have found them. But to my disappointment, they do not fit my feet properly. They are too narrow on my foot, and the shaft gaps a little. They are extremely well made with the softest leather. The style is just what I have been looking for, and I'm so unhappy that they do not fit. Thank you Zappos!

These boots are really fantastic. They required no break in period and have held up nicely after several wears. I have a medium width foot and these were just right. I would purchase these again without hesitation.

I absolutely love these boots and I am not a boot person. I looked high and low for a comfortable, yet stylish riding boot. These boots are it. Comfortable to walk in all day. Your feet don't sweat in them. Most of all I like that the leather is waterproof so the boots are very practical, as well as, stylish. Oh, I have received numerous compliments.

The boots fit beautifully. I have a narrow foot, thin legs, and was pleased that my legs do not "swim" around inside the boot. Great feel to the leather, and always the Zappos delivery service was superb. I like the casual/dressy styling.

I love La Canadienne boots but the Stefanie is very tight in the ankle and with the leather so stiff it makes walking uncomfortable. I do recommend the brand I have several just not happy with these. Love Zappos and will order again. Thanks Zappos for such great service.

I absolutely love these boots! Very comfortable. I have thin legs, so boots sometimes look like buckets on my legs. These are perfect! Great with casual dresses, or with skinny jeans. A bit expensive, but worth every penny.
