This is my first purchase of La Canadienne- these boots are very comfortable- I was looking for boots that were stylish but that I could also wear all day walking around. They are warm, but my feet don't get hot. They are also not too heavy which is great so your legs don't get tired! The top of the boot is pretty wide, so there is no problem wearing tucked in jeans or leggings. They are sturdy and very well made, which I expected for the price.

I absolutely love these boots. They are comfortable, true-to-size, and hold up to weather. This is my second pair of this brand. (I bought my first pair about 9 years ago, and, they're still going strong.) I tuck my jeans in them. I ordered over the phone. Customer service was very helpful.

I love these boots! They are considerably more than I would spend on a boot, but they are totally worth it. Nothing else out there compares to them for style and comfort. I wear a size 8, and they are a tiny bit loose with just a thin opaque stocking, so you could also wear them with socks. I would say I have average calves, and they are not tight. Don't wait, these boots are selling out.

How hard can it be to create the perfect black boot? Apparently it is, but La Canadienne has figured it out. This one is a easy to manage heel that adds height as well as stability. The rubber sole and the solid heel make it as comfortable enough for all day wear as a sturdy log sole, but because of the pretty outsole and wood stacked heel, it's much dressier. Black unadorned leather often appears shiny and cheap...this leather is slightly pebbled, which adds dimension and style, and looks luxe. Even the buckle is high quality - and its color, a subtle gold color, is antiqued so that it won't clash with silver accessories. The shaft is shorter than a riding boot by about 4-5 inches, which allows the flexibility to wear under a bootcut jean and still maintain a smooth leg. It's high enough to look good with leggings, tight jeans and skirts. The boot is just right in the calf, and the notch in the back provides for additional movement. The bottom half is roomy in width and height. I have a narrow heel and a flat arch, so my foot is moving around more than I'd like. I think an insole will solve this issue. The modified rounded toe, however, is very comfortable and will be easy on my feet, which feel some pain sometimes where a bunion is threatening to develop. These are expensive, but the excellent styling will work well with many looks. The quality and comfort makes this a great choice as well. I can easily see wearing these on a weekend trip to NYC in the fall or winter and not needing to pack any other shoes.
