The leather on these is really nice, the heel is a comfortable height and the boot overall was quite comfortable. I have kind of skinny legs and there was too much of a gap, so they had to go back. Hopefully one of the next pairs will work!

These boots are beautiful and very comfortable. I am a big fan of La Canadienne. Even though they have a higher heel, I think I could walk miles in them. These are great boots for women in the city who do a lot of walking.

I adore this boot. It is incredibly comfortable (as are all La Canariennes. To be more specific, I am a consultant so am always going to and from airports, switching planes, dragging luggage and this boot is my go-to travel boot. They look great paired with skirts, under pants, etc in work and evening environments. I get compliments every time I wear them. Highly recommend!

I love Canadienne boots (own the Kara both long and short). However, these rubbed against my leg where the zipper was and came up a little to high for me (I am 5'2") and caught me under my knee. These are going back.

Fantastic boot. I was looking for a boot that would have a classic look to pair with a slouchy vintage paisley dress with reds greens and blacks, and a black belt. I tried 4 different pairs of different shoes and none had the look, until these. These are some swanky boots. Very versatile I'm sure but as of yet I've only worn them with black tights and the cute '80s. dress! As far as sizing, I wear a 7.5 but I had to get a 7 in these.

Wow, I'd never spent this much money on a shoe, or boot. But I had acquired some very lovely vintage dresses and they required just the right boot. I searched and searched, taxing Zappos with about 5 other shipments of tal black boots until I found these. I wore these throughout the winter with long sleeved 70s dresses and sweater dresses and they are stunning! Their comfort is not to be surpassed. The leather is supple. The insole supports the foot marvelously. The heal isn't too high, and it's sturdy. The toe has a very lady like roundness. The height is perfect, coming up past mid calf,(I'm 5'5") and the fit around the calf is just perfect to wear with tights (I'd consider myself athletic, not skinny with calves of the same description). I love these boots! They really do look and feel expensive. :) So, naturally they don't fail to be noticed. I'm a teacher and wow, did heads turn when I walked into the building in these. :)

I mispoke on the previous review. I wear a 7.5 but had to return the 7.5 for a 7 to get the right fit in these gorgous boots!
