I am very familiar with La Canadienne boots and have always found them to be very comfy and durable (waterproof and rubber soles)! These May boots are very stylish, beautiful, and most important -- comfy! I ordered them in the taupe color which is true to color as it appears online. You cannot go wrong for the price you pay -- totally worth it! True to size and good for those with small calves as well. Beats paying $900+ for Prada or designer boots that are not always comfy!

Love the boots; beautiful, well-made, suede, waterproof, goes with both black and brown. Nice tread -- no fear of slippage. The toe box is lovely. I tried 6 pairs of expensive boots at a variety of stores, and all were uncomfortable footbeds or a tight toe area. This pair is the winner on all counts. Downsides: tight calf. I am 145 pounds, 5'7" with a 14" calf, and the zip is very tight. Can't wear socks on my calf, let alone tuck jeans in. Also, the heel is just a bit higher than my other pair. A little uncomfortable on the ball of my foot, but it's probably just my foot build.

I love these boots! I have always wanted suede boots but I live in San Francisco so no point in wearing suede footwear due to the rain. Since these boots are made for wet weather, I splurged and have not regretted it. So comfortable! Even though they are high heeled, the sole is very cushy and lots of support. I will say that I normally wear a 7 or 7 1/2 in other brands (my first La Canadiennes) but I ended up with a 6 1/2 in these. I have fairly high arches, bunions on both feet and fairly large calves so it can be hard to find boots. Will definitely buy this brand again.
Brands I'd also recommend: Stuart Weitzman, Aquatalia

Love these boots for their style, fit, and comfort. The May are perfect shaft height and I don't even notice the 3 inch heel. I haven't bought heels higher than 2 inches for years because I forgot about La Canadienne. I have a pair (ankle, platform) from 6 years ago that are still going strong. The May fits my smallish calf and screaming toes perfect in my regular shoe size. Same comfort thick or thin socks.
Brands I'd also recommend: Stuart Weitzman

I love this boot. I have skinny calves and I hate boots that gap. This boot fits my calves with no gap. I wear either skinny jeans or leggings with my boots. Amazing! And to top it off, it is very comfortable. It's a high heel, not an extreme heel, that is high enough to look sexy but not so high as to make one suffer! I wish the color was a bit more gray. It's between light brown and gray, kind of neutral. My favorite boot this winter!
