These are beautiful boots as to be expected from La Canadienne. They definitely look high-quality and well-made. I ordered them specifically for wearing over skinny jeans and unfortunately they were just a little snug in the calf for that purpose. I have muscular calves, but not overly large, and I am a small person; who knows maybe with repeating wearings they would give a little more. They would have worked for me if not for wanting to wear them over jeans and since these are more of a fitted style I decided to return them, but only because of that reason. If I had dresses/skirts they matched, I probably would have kept them.

This is a beautiful boot, very comfortable, and cozy. It fits true to size, but it does have a snug fit around the leg. These boots are not cheap (for my shoe budget), but they are beautiful, comfortable, and all weather. I have always wanted suede boots but feared that winter would quickly destroy them. So, I splurged on these, and so far, I am not disappointed. They are clearly well designed and made. The only problem someone might experience is the tighter fit in the leg. I would highly recommend these, and I will likely buy more La Canadienne. Thanks Zappos.com- always the best customer service!

Wow! What a beauty and worth the money. I have been looking for a warm waterproof boot that will take me to the office (particularly in the slush) so I won't have to bring shoes along or any other place I want to go without looking clunky. I looked for 2 years, returned 4 other pairs and then bit the bullet and paid the price. Happiness is mine! This boot will go anywhere - so you don't need 2 or 3 pairs. I mean it's cost effective! The styling is gorgeous, the sizing is right on, and it is made so well, I can see them lasting for at least several years to come. My only warning is that this brand can sometimes run narrow - I went up a half a size to accommodate my somewhat wide feet. Sometimes I can wear medium, sometimes I cannot. Also the traction soles look great. So buy the boot with no regrets. You won't need any other - well except maybe brown!

Was looking for stylish black boots to wear to work & stylishly wear at work with a dress or suit. Took me 2 years to find these! Extremely comfortable. Can't tell you're wearing a heel. I have thin muscular calves & these could be a bit tighter, but they're good enough. They seem to scrunch a bit, was hoping for a bit more firm shaft, but they look great for work, functional for the commute!

This is the most amazing boot! It's very stylish and functional. I live in an area where I need a waterproof boot....lots of snow. It's very flattering and makes your legs look super long. The best boot I've ever purchased. I bought the black and brown. As a result, I purged all other boots in my closet. Ladies....purchase this boot while it's still available!

I'm in love! These boots are perfect. I was looking for sexy yet comfortable brown boots with a narrow shaft... and these are exactly it! I just got them a few days ago and have only worn them for a day so can't comment on the durability, but given the price I'm expecting they will go the distance. The leather is high quality, soft in the inside so the boots almost feel like slippers! I am not used to walking with such a high heel but it's wide enough that you feel very stable. It does make your legs look incredibly long - very flattering! I am definitely considering buying them in black.

I love these boots! They are warm, waterproof and actually very sturdy for walking in snow or slippery slushy conditions. They have a thick rubber heel and sole, I wore them for 15 hours from day to night walking all over New York City after a snowstorm and they were amazing! I am not a heel person and was my main concern with buying these boots. The heel is high, but for some reason I barely felt it walking around, I think because of the rubber bottom, the traction is superb. The boots are very stylish and give your legs a long sexy look. The inside is so warm and soft; I have skipped any type of sock and gone barefoot in the boots. I am a size 7 and bought a size 7, it is fitted to your leg, but I was able to wear the boots over my skinny jeans with no problem. If it feels tight at first, it will loosen a little bit as you wear it. These are the most expensive boots I have ever bought but they have exceeded my expectations, I am very happy with them and think they will last a very long time.

Absolutely gorgeous boot, lined deliciously, and very well constructed -- definitely felt like an expensive boot. It also hugs the calves in a very flattering way. Unfortunately, the footbed didn't do it for me - while it seemed to have good arch support, it hit my arch at the wrong spot, which would have made walking really uncomfortable. Ladies, if your arches are high, this boot may be your dream come true - or a painfully near miss!

Truly gorgeous boots. Each pair fits a bit differently - I had tried them on in black and found the footbed arch support hit my foot in the wrong place, but with this tobacco brown pair, everything fit as it should, and I'm thrilled. I don't believe in suffering for fashion - so I'm thrilled to find gorgeous, well-constructed, extremely sexy boots that also feel comfortable! Not for ladies with larger calves, though - these are quite snug around my average-sized calves, which was exactly the fit I wanted!

I have four pairs of La Canadienne boots (I know, it is sad), three of them are pretty high wedges. These looked so great, but I could not walk comfortably or normally in them at all. I really do not know how people can say that these are comfortable! They did not feel all that comfortable in the footbed, either, just standing still. I ordered my usual size, too. Maybe I am just not used to a true heel, but I will stick with their wedges!

I have been looking for stylish but versatile boots for fall and winter that are comfortable to walk in. The Frye boots that I was initially interested in were out of stock in my size so I opted for this La Canadienne style. I am so glad that I did. The suede is soft, the boots are nicely lined inside so that it feels good on bare legs, and the heel and bottom is sturdy. It also looks great, making my rather large calves look thin. I was also excited that I was able to zip them up over my muscular calves - even when wearing skinny jeans. Of course they have tall heels so they are not terribly comfortable. Also, I do not think that the arch support is quite enough for me, but I will find some inserts to improve that. And I am excited about the weather proof suede, no more worrying about the rare LA drizzle or puddles. Plus, when I finally got the Frye boots I originally wanted, these just blew them out of the water. The Frye boots got sent back ultimately in favor of these lovely boots.

I am a huge fan of La Canadienne boots. I live in Minnesota and have found that this brand does the best job of combining form and function. I really wanted the brown version of Kloe, however it was out of stock when I ordered. I went with black instead. I am so glad I did! They are so comfortable, so versatile, so fashion-forward. The bottom is rubber so traction is exceptional. The boots fit my calf well. I am 5'4, 125 lbs, and wear a shoe in size 7.5. The boots are true to size. If you don't order Kloe, order something from La Canadienne. They are the best. Zappos is the best also. The boots arrived next day, no shipping charges, given my VIP status with Zappos. Are you kidding? It does not get better than this, gals!
