Best wedge boot - I really love this boot, and I think I would wear it forever if possible! I ordered a ½ size larger from my usual size, from experience w/ La Canadienne shoes, and it fits perfectly. No trouble walking at all, and it fits my calves and ankles very well.

A Sexy Wedge Boot! Overall very happy with this boot....my feet are hard to fit, so I have a few 'comfort issues'...but, I will fight through them as I love the way these boots look on my feet! The fitted calf makes my leg look longer and thinner!! Plus I love them under pants! Because the boot is so fitted there is not that bulge under the pant legs as with most boots! I can't wait to wear them to my holiday parties!

Love these. I just got my boots in. They fit like a glove and are very comfortable. They definitely run a little big, but this is good because I can wear warm socks with them. The inside sole of these boots are nicely lined with a soft cotton for comfort. The material was a nice surprise. If these get a little dirty from snow and rain etc., it will easily come off with the wipe of a sponge. These are also good for skinny calves if you want the top to comfortably hug your legs.

The other reviewers were right. This is a sleek boot that fits like a glove. Really comfortable. A couple of things - the ankle support is a little bit non-existent because the material is so soft. The other thing is the side view looks a little funny because the boot becomes really thin at my ankles, followed by the wider wedged heel. This thing really fits like a glove. The soles aren't as comfortable as some of the other boots on Zappos, but it's cushy enough. (I'm pretty picky too).

My first La Canadienne pair of shoes/boots and they are the most comfortable boots ever! I was a little reluctant about it being waterproof and I can vouch for that now. I wore it in the rain for hours and, completely dry! I'm searching for my next pair. It is definitely a good buy.

Love these -- I have large, muscular calves and it's hard for me to find a tall boot that has a wide enough circumference. I don't like the fake leather look and I already have lace-ups. So this was a logical choice for me. Aside from my calf issue, my feet are also prone to getting very sore after a shot time spent standing or walking. And I have problems with the ball joints in my toes. These boots work great on all accounts. They are comfy, stable, stylish, accommodating of bigger calves and very flattering. I keep getting compliments and I walked for hours around two malls yesterday! I kinda wish I would have gotten the Gaetana (which is very similar but has a rounded toe) instead but oh well. These are great, too. These are the only La Canadienne boots I've ever owned but I've tried on a few different styles and they are all very comfortable and well made. I definitely plan to buy more. They are a little pricey but you really can't put a price on comfort!

I got these boots last year and wore them one winter. This is the second winter and I plan to get rid of them. I tried everything, foot sprays, shoe sprays; waterproof in these boots means ventilation-proof as well. My feet get very sweaty throughout the day and it is not pleasant. Otherwise the boots are comfortable, although a bit slouching. I wear a 9 1/2 and the fabric is a loose around the ankles.

The picture of these boots does not do it justice, much better looking in person. Agree with the fit in the ankle. I have a wide calf (15") and, although these fit great in the calf area for me, it was a tad loose in the ankle. The stitching is well done and the heel is very "clean". Some boots (even very expensive ones) sometimes have that glue residue. Not on this one at all! Overall, very impressed. La Canadienne and Zappos has gained a new customer.

I love these boots! I ordered about 8 different pairs of boots from Zappos and these were the winner by far. They are comfortable, flattering, and weatherproof! I went to NY for the weekend and these were the only pair of shoes I brought. They are so versatile that they look great with dresses or jeans.

I highly recommend these boots. I bought them before a trip to Colorado last winter, expecting to wear them a couple of times, with longer jeans (certainly not to replace my beloved and much used apres ski boots). But, these La Canadiennes delivered such a magic combination of comfort and good looks that I wore them constantly, except to ski and sleep. I wear 7 1/2 narrow, and since there was no "narrow" option, I almost didn’t click the order; but I’m so glad I did. These boots feel like slippers and knee socks; but you can wear them outdoors, from the office to the mountains, and everywhere in between. (If you’re hesitating because there is no zipper – don’t. They glide right on and off, even at the airport security check.)

Really like these boots for the most part. They look really nice, very stylish and they make me feel like a superhero of sorts. I love the wedge platform heel, since I'm clumsy, I need a heel that has strength and support instead of the skinny pointy ones. My only concerns are that one, the calves and ankles are starting to stretch out from having to put my feet through with no zippers, and they are not as tight as I'd like them to be around the calves. Next versions would be perfect if they had a zipper option. Secondly, the feet space feels a bit narrow. I don't have a wide foot by any means, but these do feel a bit tighter than I expected and crowd the toes a bit. Otherwise, great boots.

I like this boot a lot. I have yet to wear them - but for this price, I think the look, comfort, and practicality cannot be beat. They may be a little loose in the calves, not sure, but truthfully overall, very sexy and comfortable. If they turn out to be waterproof, well, all the better. This is the kind of boot I buy for a season or two to wear a lot and not worry about them at all. Looking forward to wearing them all winter!

I did not like these boots. They sagged at the ankle and did not look right over skinny jeans. They are comfortable however. La Canadienne makes some wonderful boots. I especially like the Mercedes but this one just did not work for me. Zappos is of course awesome. Love to receive items I can try with my wardrobe to see if they compliment my other clothing, shoes and boots.

I'm so disappointed. I'd hoped these were the ones. The measurements definitely do vary by size just like it says. I buy the boot to fit my calf, this one a 12 inch turns into a loose 14 inch when in a size 9 or 10. It looks good on the foot but baggy and saggy from the low ankle all the way up. Nice material though, solid heel, wish it fit right, seems like there's a lack of boots that fit normal, skinny calves.

I wanted to love these boots... they feel at least a size larger. Even though they're stretchy, they're a little baggy. If you're a size 5, try a different La Canadienne style.

I've been looking for a pair of waterproof boots for work and weekend. I wanted a wedge heel and a shaft that was narrow as I have skinny calves. This is the perfect boot. Comfortable, silent as I walk due to the rubber wedge, warm, fits my calf snugly, but not too tight and super stylish. I get compliments on them every time I wear them and I pick them first for every occasion. As for sizing, I've always worn 7's, but been wearing 7 1/2's lately. They only had 7's, so I thought I'd try them and they fit perfectly with even a little space.
