Great for athletic calves. I love these boots. After trying various leather zip-up boots with my 15.5 inch calves, and not achieving the look I wanted, I tried the stretch style boots. Love these. They are fitted and flattering and exactly what I was looking for in a boot, and comfortable to boot!

These boots are sleek and hip. They look great with skirts, dresses, or shorter dress pants. I wear a 10 and they were a tad small in my larger foot. Love how they look-- more of a dressier boot than a boot to wear with jeans.

These are comfy and fit well, although I think they are not stylish enough to wear other than as a rain boot. The synthetic fiber is kind of cheap looking, I wouldn\'t wear it with a dress skirt, etc. Back they go!

I ordered this boot because I misread the description and thought the circumference was 15-1/2 (it is actually 14-1/2 and my calf is 15) but it turned out okay, the material had enough flexibility to manage the situation. I found this boot to be flattering on my leg and the foot part looks pretty when I look down on it, so I'm keeping it. As another reviewer pointed out it does wrinkle somewhat around the ankle area, but that isn't a deal-breaker for me. I like the microfiber because it is a visually "quiet" material and very comfortable to wear.

Wonderful boot. Just bought my second pair! Got the wrong size at first because the size was not printed in my first pair. Went up 1/2 size because of the pointed toe.

This runs 1/2 size big and is a little wide in my opinion. The fit on the leg is good for my average size calves (14"), but it somehow sags a lot at the ankles. It is a good looking boot otherwise, and I'm thinking about going 1/2 size down anyway.

I have another pair of LaCanadienne boots and love them. These, however, are just too tight around my calves and felt small overall. In fact, I could not even get them on. Too bad because I really like them.

These boots are beautiful. I wish I could have kept them, but my legs are quite thin and because they are fabric and not leather, they don't stand up on their own (not stiff enough) and pretty much require a perfect fit on the calf in order not to bunch a lot at the ankle. The foot part fit perfectly and was very comfortable and the fabric looks expensive and nice, not cheap. Gorgeous boot. I'm giving it 5 stars because they didn't work well for me, but I'm pretty used to things not fitting my legs properly and I don't fault the boot design at all.

These are beautiful, elegant boots. They fit great in the foot, and are very comfortable. The heel size is excellent, it is feminine and flattering but still walkable. I purchased them to wear to the office, but also makes a great going-out boot. The only problem I had was the ankle area sagged a bit, so unfortunately I had to return them.

I purchased this boot from that major department store in Seattle online in March 2010. They are the perfect boots! The heel height is good, they have a smooth and sleek look just like stockings. However, I had to return them. It is like wearing knee socks that kept sliding down. If your calf is smaller than 14" with a small ankle these boot" will not stay up, they will slide down your leg. Also, the width runs wide (I am size 8B.) They definitely seem wide. Otherwise, I really liked these boots and I did not want leather! If they can make these boots with a smaller calf/ankle and the correct medium width I would reorder these boots instantly!

These are fantastic boots, comfortable and very nice looking on. I receive lots of compliments when wearing these. I have another pair of La Canadienne boots that have been the most comfortable boot for me so I knew I would not go wrong with these.

I wore them once so far. They're very comfy. However, the fabric makes a squeaky noise. One boot rubs on another - I had to be careful how I move my legs, so this noise is not as loud. This part is annoying. I will wear them with pants. Hopefully it will reduce the noise. But in this case, it diminishes the purpose of buying it. I would be as happy with ankle high boots.

Boots are perfect. True to size, comfortable, with plenty of stretch to hold them up without being too tight.

These are stunning and sophisticated! I put them on with a trim suit, walked to the subway, sat down on a bench, a man passed by and said, "Nice boots." Then he sat down to talk to me. And he was a real gentleman. I had them on for less than a hour and already I was getting compliments.
