Review of L.B. Evans's Aristocrat Opera - Nice overall. Looks great, but the inner sole pulls out after you wear it for a while. Hard to get it back in place correctly. It needs a shoemaker to repair, I guess?

Great slipper - I looked for quite a while on the Internet for an indoor slipper with a leather sole and at least some lift in the heel. This is the one I settled on & so far I am very happy with it. After I ordered it I learned that 3 of my friends have the same slipper. They like it as well. Since it does have a soft leather sole I suspect it will not last as long as some other slippers, but it is very comfortable and very quiet when one walks which is a plus on hardwood floors and marble floors where I often wear these slippers. Actually I bought 2 pair: one I wear with thin socks and I ordered that to my normal shoe size. The other I wear with thick ragg socks and that is a 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size.

This is my husband's favorite slipper. His old ones are frayed and frazzled. Have bought several others--he won't wear them. Then I looked on Zappos and this opera slipper came up (didn't know they were called Opera slippers). Bought it. Voila. The same slipper. And in his size 13EEE! He loves them. Thank you.

Really Wonderful Choice - To avoid dirt, lead and other contaminants, street shoes are not allowed in our home. Thus, quality and comfort are paramount in our house slippers; since we really "live" in them. My husband wears size 11.5, and these fit perfectly. They look great, too. Although they are much too big for me, I tried them on to feel how they fit my arch. The support is excellent. Wild Woman of the Wind, Seattle.

Perfect house shoe... All leather with good cushioning on the bottom--better than barefoot around the house. A leather bottom not suitable for outside. Fairly well padded, but may not be enough arch support for someone with a really high arch. It fits a bit loose, but for a slipper, isn't that what you want? Slip the foot in without bending, slip the foot out. I have a fairly high arch and it is comfortable for me, however, if you are one of those with a really high arch, it may not be enough. I bought brown, wore them for a couple of weeks and came back and ordered black. We dance ballroom, and if my feet were sore, I could dance in these. Works for me!

Brands I'd also recommend: Naot sandals--most comfortable shoe underfoot.

Great for Sensitive Feet - I am Diabetic and purchased these shoes for the leather lining, as my feet can be quite sensitive at times. These slippers are THE most comfortable that I have ever owned. I'd recommend these for anyone. They are attractive, and seem to be long lasting.

Men's L.B. Evans slipper - A comfortable slipper in supple leather with classic styling. A handsome shoe. Not recommended for outdoor wear. They fit my size 11M feet perfectly with little room to spare, though I expect they probably will stretch somewhat. If worn with thick socks, then you may want to consider purchasing a half size larger.

Favorite Slipper Ever - I had recently discovered Zappos' great prices and service when I had ordered several pairs of shoes - they sent the ones I thought I would like, as best as I could tell online, and I knew the brand-names so I took a chance. I got the shoes in about two or three days; some fit, some didn't. I kept the ones I liked and sent back the others. Free shipping both ways and an immediate credit back on my Visa card. After this experience, I thought "what the heck" and started looking through the Zappos site for the pair of slippers I had been wearing for years. Mine had holes in them, but they were the only "perfect" pair I had ever worn, and I just couldn't find them again anywhere. Well, I entered the criteria into Zappos search feature - and there they were! My problem was that I never knew what to call them before (opera slippers) but in any case these all leather slippers from L.B. Evans are perfect - warm, lightweight, fit like a glove, and a good enough sole to run outside and get the paper without being stiff. If you're like me, you like your feet to be warm, but don't like all that fluffy sheepskin stuff most slippers are packed with - and those make my feet sweat, anyway. In any case I now have a brand new pair, exactly like the old pair. I got Zappos great service again, and to the best of my memory, these cost me less than my first pair, years ago. You will love these slippers and it will be many (happy) years before you need another pair.

Found at Last! I wanted to buy my husband the brand of slippers (L.B. Evans Aristocrat) he always wore when we lived in New England. After shopping several stores, I did locate the brand, finally, but not in his size. I chose to go online to check them out and their availability. Ordering them from Zappos was an incredible experience. Very easy ordering process and extremely efficient shipping - they arrived within a couple of days! The quality is still evident in these slippers, the price is quite reasonable, and he couldn't be more pleased.

Pleased Papa - Zappos is the only place where I can get these in a narrow width. I have always liked these slippers, but can no longer get them in narrow in any local shoe stores.

Too wide, too long. Nice finish overall. The EEE width is too wide for my E or EE foot. In an attempt to get a non snug fit, I went for the EEE in size 10. A 10E does fit in my street shoes. I probably should have tried a 10E or a 9 1/2E. Can't see much of an arch support, but for lounging they'll be fine.
