This product was a present to my husband who says: They look nice, are comfortable. The only concern: they could have a better arch support. As this type of shoes goes, the pair is the 2nd best he ever had. About the size: added insole with some arch support made it perfect. For myself: I might try out your shoes when I need a new pair. I noticed you have extra wide dress shoes for women.

I received these as a Christmas present nearly two years ago. I had worn another LB Evans style for ten years and was immediately impressed by the increased comfort this pair afforded. The soft leather offers the kind of easy comfort I expect for an around the house slipper. Two issues that have marred my experience with this shoe. First, I was concerned about the soft leather on the sole. The two years of wear have born out my concern as wear spots quickly began to appear at pressure points. The sole will wear out long before the fine upper leather. The other issue has to do with the insole from the ball of the foot forward. The material changes at about this point and after six months of wear the the cushioning began to shred and separate from the top layer. A very disappointing experience.

Would like a better fit - It would be great if it fit me better and the sole was less slippery. If I'm willing to pay the price I should be able to get a better fit.

Carpet Slipper - The picture does not do this slipper justice. It is soft and pliable. I was very happy with the product and let me say I have never ordered through the internet before and your company made it so easy and my order arrived in half the time I thought that it would take. Men slipper - My husband is very hard to fit, he has a 13 narrow. He needed a new pair of slippers and I had purchased 6 pairs locally and none fit. I found Zappos on the internet and the slippers fit perfertly. I will look here first when buying him shoes. Thanks!

Opera Slippers - I ordered these for my dad because he had the same thing and loved them. These however were very snug on his feet. He is 80 and has tremendous foot problems. The other slippers were wonderful and he actually wore them out. These really bothered his feet, and he hardly ever wears them.

Comfort - The only negative is that if you are retired and wear the shoe most of the day the sole will wear out in about nine months.

Aristocrat and Radio Tyme - Had previously tried L.B. Evans Radio Tyme Burgundy in size 9 and 10. The 9 was too small and the 10 was too big. Both sizes were too narrow. Switching to the Aristocrat size 9 was a perfect fit, probably because of the relaxed style. However I had previously owned Daniel Greene slippers which I was trying to duplicate with the Radio Tyme slipper, to no avail.

I had such excellent service from Zappos! My first pair that I ordered was too short. I sent them back and ordered another pair 1/2 size larger and they were wonderful. I received a prompt refund and the other pair. I have been looking for L.B. Evans slippers here for a year and just couldn't find them. Good slippers - They fit true to size in length and width--important because I have a narrow foot!! They are very comfortable and well made high quality slippers. Tried to find these in high end stores in the mall-were not available at all.

Mixed review - I have worn this brand and style slipper for many years. LAST PREVIOUS PURCHASE WAS ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO. It was, as usual, size 9 EEE, burgundy color. That's what I wanted to reorder. Burgundy was not available. So I ordered brown. The 9EEE was too tight (for a slipper); ok for a shoe. A slipper should SLIP ON! I restudied your web page and determined that the picture of the black version seemed to be styled a little different from the brown one. When I returned the brown 9EEE I asked for a black 9-1/2 EEE. Eureka! These fit like the old 9EEE. I can slip into my slippers! Too bad you don't carry them in burgundy.

This is for my husband - I used to get slippers in this style about every year from a NY-based Classic Clothier that ain't so classic anymore, because they stopped carrying the nice leather opera slipper my DH has loved since his childhood. There are others out there "a la" opera slipper, but for several years I could not find one with the leather sole, which is the deal breaker for DH. So he did without. Then I found Zappo's. Well, your mktg dept just sent me the 1-yr hi there, do you want another? No, because the first ones are holding up great. I just went and checked. I mean, they're all rumply and broken in and a teeny bit worn on one heel, but what do you expect after thousands of hours of wear? And on ceramic tile, too.

New and Improved! I had a pair of the Operas several years ago and finally had to replace...be careful, the are ALL leather (including the sole) so you can only wear them on carpet or hardwood flooring as the sole will damage easily...they truly are "slippers". They have been improved over the years with more padding to the inside of the sole and are more stable and comfortable that the pair I had before...

Rusty's slippers - Since these slippers were for my husband instead of me, I will have to guess about some of the questions you may ask. However, he wears them most of the time and although he doesn't walk and uses the wheel chair for most transport, He does say they are very comfortable.
