Expensive - yes! Worth it? Yes! This machine is very powerful. I purchased the hard cheese/ice blade and it was amazing how quickly and powdery fine it made the parmesan cheese. I love it!

This is expensive, but well worth the money. You never get what you do not pay for, so you should not expect stellar performance from a bargain. This machine delivers all the performance claimed by KitchenAid. The power and size of this machine is unbeatable at any price. It is the best value for the money.

First off, I will say this machine is awesome! It is heavy duty and looks amazing. Lots of power--I have made cookies, pizza dough and even almond butter with no problem, as well as tons of veggies. It chops, slices, grates, and shreds with absolutely no problems. Although I did say it was awesome, it does have some things you have to get used to---mainly the dicing feature. It works great on firmer, solid type foods (potatoes, squash, zucchini, celery, etc.) but does tend to get clogged up with softer or layered foods (ripe tomatoes, onions)and has a really hard time dicing sweet potatoes. With that being said, once you get used to which power level to use and what foods/textures work best, its fine. Regardless, be prepared to have to unscrew the dicing disc and clean it out once or twice before your done. Yes, its annoying, but the finished product is worth it. The slicing feature is really nice, as is the different size work bowels. Yes, some of the juice might get into another bowel but its really not an issue. My best advice is to plan your food so that you use the correct bowel in the order that they're stacked to avoid having to constantly wash bowels or take them out--organization is the key or you will have a HUGE mess! Also, DO NOT leave your blades in the sink wet overnight or they will show rust. Honestly, I'm still not sure if its worth the price by itself, but the fact that I can use it as a food processor AND a mixer makes up for it. So, all in all, I'm pretty happy with it and am enjoying all the fresh foods I can create!
