I have had one for nearly two years. It is a workhorse that makes great espresso! I use distilled water to keep the buildup of scale minimized and I clean it according to directions. Routine care is important! As some have noted, it does have a couple of minor design flaws with regards to the grinder: first, it does spill quite a bit of the grinds instead of getting them in the cup as it dispenses; it also does not feed the beans reliably and you often have to tap them to get them sliding down into the grinder (easy to do, but why they did not just make the hopper a bit more vertical I will never know); and finally if someone is in a hurry and tries to add water "in process" from the left side, you can spill into the grinder which will plug up the dispenser with a bolus of coffee grinds that stick together. It happens... but a careful cleaning (immediately before it dries and hardens!) and some compressed air will get it out. All in all I love it. I started with a different brand (cheaper) and got what I paid for as it lasted less than 6 months. The Breville is much more robust and is worth the money especially if you get it for a bit less than list.

This is the worst product I have every purchased. Oh yes it is SEXY but don't be fooled. I have done better with a coffee grinder from Walmart for 65% less of the costs. the thing doesn't even light up to let you choose fine, medium or coarse beans. Don't do it.

After using this coffeemaker for a few weeks I'm just as happy with my purchase as when I first received it. Pros: Great tasting coffee, looks nice, high build quality, well-engineered Cons: Makes the coffee a little strong even on the mildest setting, control panel can be hard to figure out at first, takes up a lot of space on the counter.
