This shoe is much dressier than it looks. The picture doesn't do it justice. Also, it is more of a metallic gray-brown than true brown. It matched perfect with my niece's party gown which was slate blue with brown satin sash and grayish brown metallic polka dots. Nice, roomy toe box. Some of the other medium width dress shoes were too narrow in the toe for a toddler's feet.
Brands I'd also recommend: Stride Rites
