These boot were 80% for cold and snow and 20% for Fashion. While these boots are nice looking they look more rugged than a fashion boot, which is fine as there is about 12 inches of snow outside and -17 degrees. Thanks to several reviews telling me to order at least 1/2 to a full size larger I did-I generally wear 6-6.5 and I ordered a 7 (I don't wear super thick socks-If I did I would have ordered an 8 there were no 1/2 sizes in this boot which I thought was ridiculous). I am so glad I did as they just fit with a just a little wiggle room (I like wiggle room). The width was good but I don't have wide feet very average. I do however have runners/cyclist calves(keeping in shape caused me large calves! Which is A-OK!)...they are huge 17 inches at the widest point-then I have the worlds smallest ankles (yes I am a hot mess in the boot shopping department)but they fit beautifully (wide enough in the shaft but with laces small enough in the ankles...yeah boots that fit! The only thing I do not like on these boots is the tongue of the boot is flappy-they should have put one more D ring at the top-I am going to have my cobbler place extra D Rings on the furry part of the boot... other than that they were an excellent purchase...Ready and set to play in the SNOW!

I purchased these boots and gave a favorable review I will have to retract what I said because after less than 10 wearing the boots completely fell apart and Zappos cannot retract reviews. What happened- the lining inside the right boot completely tore where the fur was then started fraying. The fake fur started coming off in chunks there are little black faux bits all over my house. The part of the boot where the plastic boot art meets the shaft the plastic part bent in and kept on rubbing against my ankle. The calf area was def big enough, and were very waterproof but the quality was horrible when I actually contacted Khombu they contacted me about a week later and just bad cups timer service thank good eyes Zappos was kind enough to take back worn boots Do yourself a favour do not buy these boots I needed up buying a pair of North Face boots instead. My old review "These boot were 80% for cold and snow and 20% for Fashion. I'd also recommend: instead of this brand buy North Face or Sorel

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. They're warm, comfortable, and most importantly, have great traction on icy sidewalks. I was somewhat concerned that they'd be difficult to put on due to the lace-up style, but they're very easy to get on and off (which was important to me as I am 7 months pregnant.) I'm not a huge fan of the shiny patent leather look, but other than that these are perfect.

These boots are fashionable. But they make your legs look fat. The furry top part flops outward, so that the boots look like a trumpet champagne flute. Your calfs end up looking twice as wide as they are normally, and the trumpet top also makes it difficult to walk as well. I completely agree with the other reviewers that they need another set of eyelets at the top, but these boots are not worth the hassle to try and fix the problem with a cobbler. There are plenty of better boots out there, especially at this price point.
