I was looking for an everyday bag that zipped on the top that would also fit my iPad--and this is perfect! As other reviewers have commented, the side pockets are a bit useless. But there's a great row of organizational pockets on the inside plus a large zip pocket. I love the D-ring--no more scrounging around for keys that inevitably slip to the bottom of the bag. And though it's hard to see in the picture, there's a clever outside zip pocket as well. I keep my wallet there so I don't have to scrounge for that either. My metrocard goes in the Velcro'd pocket in the back that's designed for a cell phone, and cell phone and ipod go in pockets in the inside. I've never had a problem with the Velcro sticking on clothes, and I love that the strap is adjustable to accommodate cross-body carrying. The color is vibrant and beautiful, and the bag (and its contents) have also held up well when caught in the rain. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it.

The blue spruce fabric is beautiful and fun. Love the soft, patterned strap and front pocket. However, this bag is not going to work for me functionally. The loose ends of the zipper make is difficult to zip. The end pockets do not go down to the bottom of the bag so they are too shallow to hold water bottles, and even the interior holder does not go to the base of the bag, so anything but the tiniest bottles make it impossible to zip up. Also, I would ditch the horrible cell pocket on the back - the front pocket is great for that and the Velcro catches on and ruins the wearers' clothes! It's so cute I don't want to return it, but these oversights will drive me crazy.

The Westport is light, roomy, has the many compartments I look for in a bag. I like the fancy strap a lot, too. Just slightly heavy carrying it crossbody, but then, I do have a lot of stuff. It's just that I can't stand the KEEN logo in front like that...I'm going to cover it up with something, I'm still trying to figure that one out, as I plan to keep the bag. They don't really need to promote their bags that way, if people like them, more people will buy them even without the logo.

This bag is handsomer in person than in the photo. The body of the bag has a nice sculpural design. It is very light but feels like a high quality item. The strap seems longer than the stated dimensions, plenty long to go crossbody on my apple shaped torso. They call this a travel bag, but it will be my everyday bag. Who needs 5 to tote around 5 lbs of hardware all the time?

The blue color and strap detail are good-looking combination. It is lightweight, which I love. It is an excellent casual summer bag, though it does not easily accommodate a water bottle. The zipper a little frustrating. But overall I am happy with this purchase.
