I owned last year’s version of the Waimea, and these look to be the same style. I came back because I was hoping Keen had fixed the toepost such that it were polyester webbing instead of hard rubber. After trying three different sizes, I could not find one that wouldn’t give me blisters between my toes after a few hours of wear. It was a real shame as I loved the fit/look. On the bright side, I love the Keen Barbados (though the sole is not as nice), and Zappos was great about returns (I had only worn them inside). Keen: Please fix this! I want to buy your product!

These KEEN versions of flip-flops are almost the perfect shoe on every point. I still wear the ones I bought on Zappos over 3 years ago. I wear them almost daily in the warm months (6 months of the year here) and just absent-mindedly slip them on for everything from going to the store, the park, and a long trip, to even yard and garden work or trail hiking. They are supportive, comfortable, and seemingly indestructible. Throw them in the wash; they still look almost like new. The toe protector is well designed and gives me confidence to do things in them I'd never do in normal thong-sandals. I think I'll buy another pair, even though I don't need to yet... just for a different color.

I bought a pair of black/grey Keen Waimea H2 last month. Love these sandals - this is my second pair. They are comfortable right out of the box and are true to size. I've gotten so many compliments on them and always direct people to Zappos.com since this place is the absolute best, hassle free shopping experience. They look great and are very comfortable. I saw in previous reviews that they ran small, so I purchased a 1/2 size larger than my normal size and had to return the first pair for my regular true size. I am very happy with them and how easy they were to exchange with Zappos.

GREAT SANDAL! Extremely comfortable and low foot sweat. No splitting or cracking issues like in the Keen Yogui so far. I've been a wearer of Keen, Sanuk, and Reefs for years and Keen always comes out on top for comfort level and cool styles.

My wife had a pair approximately 3 three years ago and every year I would say to her "I would really love to have a pair." Well they are exactly like I thought they would be. They mold into my feet and I'm very comfortable in them. They actually feel like I not wearing anything. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I own two pairs of this particular style that I purchased previously. While one suffered a break of the thong (I suppose that's what you call the piece that rests between the big and next toe), which is irreparable, the other pair is going strong. I love these sandals as they are the perfect "hot weather" companion while sailing in light or moderate winds in the Chesapeake Bay. The toe protector has saved my toes on many occasions as I scurried about the deck adjusting the running rigging. I was quite pleased when I received the current pair, as they appear to have experienced a cycle or two of improvements over my previous pairs. They even have a more of a look of quality. Trustfully, the "thong" won't break on one of the sandals as I scurry about the deck. Thanks, Zappos, Captain Tony

I was at 1st hesitant to spend this much on sandals. But now I’m glad, though there was a solid break-in period for them. When I first got the sandals, I got some blisters where the band was, probably because I wore them all night at a bar the 1st time. And my 2nd toe kept rubbing up where the opening was. But I just realize my feet were not used to being in such specific sandals. Now I absolutely love these guys. So comfortable with great arch support, most importantly, I have NOT stubbed my toes several times now, ranging from the standard edge of the table to the big bones that dogs leave lying around. I love my Keens! D

Have several pairs of this shoe. This year’s style has been changed slightly. The hood over the toe is smaller than the previous models and is not as comfortable.

The design for this shoe was a great idea...but when actually realized this isn't a very comfortable shoe. The length between the toe thong and the toe guard didn't fit my toes well, as well as the height of the toe guard didn't really fit the shape of my toes. When wearing these shoes I feel like my big toe is being stepped on...just very uncomfortable. I was surprised because the other Keen shoes I have (Newport H2 and Venice H2) are super comfortable.

The best summer footwear you can buy. Owned a pair 3 years ago and walked them to death, just got a new pair, taking a while to break in. Im sure I'll get another 3 years out of this pair.

This shoe/sandal has an extremely comfortable sole. Nice and soft and good arch support. Two things that bother me: 1) the toe cover covers my big toe well, but my other toes have a tendency to want to wiggle out from under the toe cover. I wish that the toe cover/protection was curved more to cover the rest of my toes. 2) I have 4 other pair of Keen shoes: Targhee, Austin, Newport, and my favorite, the Richmond. They are all in size 10, but the size 10 Waimea was way too big and I downsized to a size 9.

Great shoes! I have several pairs. Very comfortable and durable. I use them for the beach, river, gardening/lawn care and casual wear.
