I am a Red Wing fan, and have been trying to buy a pair of waterproof Red Wing boots with composite "safety toes". They have been on back-order for the last four months. Enough is enough. These boots appeared to be good sturdy construction with ample support. I am a size 13-EE in most brands and these boots were entirely too small. Buy a size larger.

Great stuff, good job Keen. Comfortable from the moment I put them on. They do seem to run 1 size small. I usually wear a 10.5 EE but ordered an 11.5 EE per previous reviewers recommendation...perfect fit. And as always, Zappos gets ten stars.

I normally wear a 9.5 D. But hearing that they sometimes run smaller and with this having a steel toe in it I ordered a 10 EE and they fit very nicely. Now that they have broken in a little, they are actually just a bit big at the center of my foot, but perfect at the toes. I'm happy with the size. The right shoe had a little 'nob' at the edge of the tongue where some stitching came together which was irritating at first, but that has not bothered me much after just a few days. No problems with the left shoe. Good traction in oil/mud/water. Very impressed so far.

They felt half size smaller at first but feel fine now. Very stable feel under any condition. Had about a month and have put them through the wringer. Still look great. Work in wet conditions often and they have always kept my feet dry. Have stood up to numerous chemical cleaners. Will buy as long as they make them.

I have been wearing these boots for about 2 months, with absolutely no complaints. Keen shoes/sandals tend to run a size small, so I ordered a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and they fit perfect! It took about 2 weeks for the boots to break-in, during which time there were some pressure points by my upper ankle, but they are gone now and these are the best fitting work boots that I have ever worn. I have 2 pair of Keen shoes and 3 pairs of their sandals, so I was ecstatic when I found out they started making EH rated composite toe and waterproof work boots.

I have had these boots for two months now and they have been great as far as comfort, toe protection, and keeping my feet dry (from sweat). What I am not impressed with is the bottom sole. The soles are coming apart in chunks, like some cheap piece of crap shoes from Wal-Mart or like a pair of Red Wings. What I do like is these boots come with a warranty and Zappos is sending another pair at no cost to me. Hopefully the new pair will hold up better. Overall, these are great boots to work in, they keep your feet dry, are comfortable as all get out, and are cheaper than a pair of Danners!

Comfort meets "work"; this boot has all the ingredients: waterproof, lightweight composite safety toe, "Keen comfortable" in a work shoe and assembled in USA. (Thanks!) My work takes me from office to job site to forest, having dry comfortable feet all day is important. This is the real deal. (Arborist in Portland)

Great shoe. I intend to buy a second pair to have on hand to change every 3 days. So they can dry out inside for better foot health for diabetic. Worth the price.

I love these boots, they are comfortable right out of the box. I usually take a size 11, but for some reason I am a 10½ with Keen shoes. I would recommend them to any one. Excellent prompt service was provided by Zappos.

Shopped and shopped for work boots that would give comfort as well as protection. Upon reading that the Keen company made hiking boots, I checked with my kids who live in the Portland Oregon area and they had good things to say about Keen. I ordered a size 14 at first because I wear 13 or 14, but they were too short. Re-ordered a 15 and I could go on for days about the comfort of these boots. Fit great, feel great, look great and I don't have to take them off when going thru security at work. Perfect! I like to hike and look forward to purchasing my next hiking boot from Keen. 5 stars all around from me...

These boots rock! I bought them and immediately wore them at a customer location for a week. Despite hours of standing on concrete, walking all around the facility, up and down steel stairs and wearing them for 10 to 12 hours at a stretch, at the end of the day my toes were safe, and my feet comfortable.

This is a fantastic boot! Perfect in every way except for one... The steel toe hurt my foot immediately when I slipped them on. Just like all the other boots I have tried so far. Just can't find a good box toe (steel toe) that fits. If you don't have trouble with fit in steel toe boots, this is a very high quality boot.

Good boot i these boots for about 2 months before the bottom of the sole started to shred/missing parts of the sole. I work as a plumber/boiler installer I guess they weren't meant for my field of work but overall good boot poor for my line of work, but thanks to Zappos they stood behind there product and refunded me my money and I did purchase another pair of boots from them to be a loyal customer!

Don't buy these boots. I ordered these boots in September 2011 and immediately fell in love with them. They have great support and aren't too heavy, unfortunately by December 2011, only 3 months later the soles started falling apart. I contacted Zappos and immediately got a refund and ordered another pair but again 3 months later I am returning them for the same reason. It is a shame because other than the sole issue they are great boots. Zappos has been great and said they would credit my account again. I love Zappos because they stand behind the products they sell!

My feet are 8.5 US 4E. Rarely do I ever order a bigger size than what I usually wear when ordering boots. However, after reading multiple reviews claiming that this boot fit small I went ahead and ordered a 9.0 2E. When they arrived I noticed the dark black uppers with bright yellow inners (the leather is extremely soft, with triple and double stitching in different areas). The outsoles had siphoning grooves (like those found in winter tires) which was very impressive. The only other workmanship issue I could find was that the tongues were slightly twisted and not perfectly aligned down the center. The major issue with these boots is that they are way too narrow and "small" fitting. Even with an increased size of a 1/2 size bigger than what I usually wear, these boots were still too narrow. I'd say these size 9 boots felt more like a slightly bigger 8.5. The width was insultingly narrow; specifically, I figured the size 9 would increase the width and make it more comfy and not restrict my large toes, but I was wrong. Do not be fooled by Keen's "anatomically correct" protective toes which claim to have a roomier fit and more comfort. The caps were still just as narrow and puny. By the way, even though Keen's site claims these are aluminum toes, the the printing on the box of the versions I received says that these are asymmetrical composite toes (I must have received an earlier version of these boots). Other issues that I found were that the laces were extremely thick. The hooks at the top of the boot are so small you'll have problems hooking them efficiently. Pros: Good quality uppers. Excellent outsole design. Easy to tighten. Cons: Way too narrow. Small fitting. Other info: Extra laces were included with my pair. The lace hooks are tiny and you will lose time trying to get them to connect. In conclusion, I'd seriously suggest that you try these on at the store before committing to a purchase. I wouldn't buy these boots if you have anything bigger than a 2E foot. Too narrow.
