These shoes run larger than normal. Also, in the picture these look brown but in person they are olive green! For that reason I'm returning them.

What happened to the Keen brand??? I own a dozen pairs of Keen shoes from over the past 7 years and was a walking spokeswoman for the brand. I used to be able to slip on a pair of Keens and sigh in comfort. The past 4 styles of Keens I've tried this year have left my feet hurting by the end of the day, or worse, as soon as I put them on. I really wanted to like the Keen Detroit. I was so excited about the steel toe "Utility" function since I work at a large Swedish furniture store for 40 hours a week. The arch support was great, but there is always what feels like a lump under the outside edge of the insoles in the newer Keens. I've gone back to my old run-down Keens for work. The tread may be gone, but they're at least comfortable. I hate writing a bad review, but maybe someone at Keen will see this and try to fix it. Thanks to Zappos for their great customer service and accepting all of my recent Keen returns!

I live on the coast and walk the dog rain or shine. I was looking for a waterproof shoe for the upcoming rainy season. This shoe is nice looking and comfortable. I ordered a wide, to fit my high arch and arch supports. It works for me. The shoe is a little heavier than the running style shoes I normally wear, but should serve my purpose well.

I stand all day, and these shoes are so comfortable! I'm usually a true 7-1/2, but these 7-1/2's feel big. I stand (opposed to walking), so I added insoles and made it work, but a 7 would probably have fit better.

I own this shoe and the mid. First I love the room in the toebox. No more squished toes from the safety toe, yay! But the sole/footbed is a little hard. I had to get a gel insert due to the hardness. This shoe felt a half size bigger while the mid felt true to size.

I am a long time owner of Keen shoes, but didn't discover that they made steel toed work shoes until just recently. These shoes are just as comfortable as my hikers and it's nice to finally own a pair of work shoes made for women! I work in a warehouse and stand on concrete all day and when I leave it doesn't feel like it. Past boots have left me with sore and callused feet and I 'm happy to say those days are over. Thank you Keen for making work boots for women!

I've found these shoes to be very comfortable and supportive. I was glad for the normal keen wideness. the laces cover a lot of foot. Great arch support.

Love these work shoes! Very good for my feet that are wide due to bunions. A bit heavy; with the steel toe; wish they made them without the steel toe...but easy to wear and comfortable. I am on my feet 8 hours with my job and these shoes keep my feet comfortable and not hurting!

Whenever I read a product review that indicates that the item is not true to size, I ignore it and order my regular size and all is well. I would suggest that potential buyers seriously consider the runs big advice. I ordered my regular size (8) and could have taken a swim in them. The 7 1/2 is perfect, even with a heavier sock. Don't be concerned about the utility aspect of these shoes. I wear them regularly; they are not heavy or bulky and provide good support. I'm very favorably impressed and plan to keep them forever.

I should have listened to other reviewers on how this shoe runs on the large side. I wear size 10 and my feet are swimming in these boots. Everything else is great. Will return for smaller size.

I bought these shoes because I wanted a good durable pair for work team mission trips. I've never had a steel toed shoe before. I love these. They are just what I was hoping for, very good support and plenty of room in the toe box. I will be wearing them a lot more than just on trips.

Love the Keen utility shoes, they are comfortable and stylish. These run a tiny bit big but not enough that I would go down a size, just wear some thicker socks. They are worth every cent because I don't feel like a cripple after working/standing 12 hours, love 'em! Hope they keep making them!

I was so excited when I found this shoe! I wanted a waterproof shoe that did not go above my ankle, had laces, and that it is Keen made it a perfect match. The steel in the toe was unexpected, but I suppose I can now use the ice chipper with confidance. Good traction and no heavier than a snow boot even with the steel toes. There was a mix-up with the shipping on the confirmation page when I ordered which Zappos went above and beyond to make right.

Nice looking shoe. Bought 1/2 size smaller as described in reviews but my heel slips out of back of shoe. That will be a problem for a work shoe. Needs to go back.

I love these shoes. It's just the right steel toe that I am looking for. No regret in buying this brand. The only thing is that are a bit pricey. Hopefully if they will make more of this brand, they could lower the price a bit.

Everyone I know that wears Keen steel toes loves them so I just had to try them. I exchanged a 9.5 for a 9 because it was too big. Sadly I am returning the 9 because it is too wide. I got the normal width and my foot is swimming in it. It appears that Keen shoes run on the wide side. Other than the width problem, I think this is a fantastic steel toe shoe! The arch support felt great and the shoe is made very well. If the shoe was not so wide I would buy it in each color. A previous review said the shoe is not brown but olive green, that is correct.

These shoes ran a little big so I had to exchange for a 1/2 size smaller. I am a zookeeper so I spend nearly the entire day on my feet and these are extremely comfortable. Since I started wearing them my feet have been aching much less. They are made well and are holding up better than other steel-toed boots I have worn in the past.

These steal tow keens are incredibly comfortable even after a full day on my feet at work. However they do run a little big (mostly wide) and they are kind of bulky. I like them a lot though.
