I was so excited when I found this shoe! I wanted a waterproof shoe that did not go above my ankle, had laces, and that it is Keen made it a perfect match. The steel in the toe was unexpected, but I suppose I can now use the ice chipper with confidance. Good traction and no heavier than a snow boot even with the steel toes. There was a mix-up with the shipping on the confirmation page when I ordered which Zappos went above and beyond to make right.

What happened to the Keen brand??? I own a dozen pairs of Keen shoes from over the past 7 years and was a walking spokeswoman for the brand. I used to be able to slip on a pair of Keens and sigh in comfort. The past 4 styles of Keens I've tried this year have left my feet hurting by the end of the day, or worse, as soon as I put them on. I really wanted to like the Keen Detroit. I was so excited about the steel toe "Utility" function since I work at a large Swedish furniture store for 40 hours a week. The arch support was great, but there is always what feels like a lump under the outside edge of the insoles in the newer Keens. I've gone back to my old run-down Keens for work. The tread may be gone, but they're at least comfortable. I hate writing a bad review, but maybe someone at Keen will see this and try to fix it. Thanks to Zappos for their great customer service and accepting all of my recent Keen returns!

I had to purchase a pair of steel toed shoes for an assignment at work and never thought it would be so difficult to find a pair in a small women's size (6). After days of searching (I only had two weeks before the start of the assignment) I gave in to the seemingly outrageous price of these. My feet could not be happier with my choice! I was standing for 10 hours a day for five days straight and had no foot, leg, or back pain and there's not a blister in sight, unlike some of my co-workers who opted for cheaper shoes. I was worried about the toe-box being tight as I have mildly wide feet, however I couldn't even feel the steel toe at all. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone--stylish, comfortable, AND functional!

These shoes ran a little big so I had to exchange for a 1/2 size smaller. I am a zookeeper so I spend nearly the entire day on my feet and these are extremely comfortable. Since I started wearing them my feet have been aching much less. They are made well and are holding up better than other steel-toed boots I have worn in the past.
I'd also recommend: Timberland Pro

I love these shoes. It's just the right steel toe that I am looking for. No regret in buying this brand. The only thing is that are a bit pricey. Hopefully if they will make more of this brand, they could lower the price a bit.
I'd also recommend: Nautilius

These are awesome steel toes. They are light, comfortable, and don't look like utility shoe. Love them.
