I ordered these shoes to wear in Michigan in the warmer weather. So far, so good.

I purchased a pair of these size 10.5 because they are designed with a full heel, which I feel is essential for me. The first pair had a funny-feeling bump in the footbed of the left-hand sandals, so I ordered a second pair to compare, figuring it wouldn't have the same issue. The second pair came an had the exact same issue. These were the only water sandals I could find this year with a full heal. So I went ahead and started wearing them, figuring the awkward bump would go away as they were worn in. I've been wearing them for about two weeks now and I have to say my left foot is in misery. The more I wear them, observe them and think about them -- which I do all day because they are so uncomfortable -- the more I can see that these are simply defective, with the whole arch and footbed structure in the left sandal completely wrong. You can see the difference when compared with the right sandals footbed and arch structure. I'm thinking that Keen has a manufacturing problem with these shoes, and I am very bummed out. I owned a pair of very similar Keen's for the last couple of years and loved them. I hope this company figures this out. Meantime, If they don't feel right to you, don't make the same mistake as me and think they will break in after a bit.

I have had various other Keen sandals and these are my favorite so far. They are lightweight, comfortable, and the webbing that goes around the heel makes it possible to cinch them up if I am ever worried about slipping out of them (e.g. need to run a few blocks). Highly recommended.

I too have a similar issue as 'Kelley D from Washington, DC' with the left sandal and I too ordered a second pair that had the same exact feeling/issue. I love the design of these hope they fix it ASAP.

Keen makes an excellent shoe. The Owyhee is no exception. Comfortable out of the box. The biggest negative is that their soles consistently separate from the bottoms (inferior adhesive?). Since this problem is ongoing I assume it is Keen's version of "planned obsolescence"?

I don't normally wear shoes like this, as they often aren't comfortable or well made. These shoes, however, were amazingly comfortable and sturdy. I am totally sold on this brand.

Just returned this shoe. I too had the same problem that the other two ladies had with a defect in the sole. For me, it was the right shoe that had a bump that would hit your foot directly between the pads beneath your big and little toe. It was incredibly uncomfortable. My foot was even bothering me after I took the shoe off. I never write reviews, but I figured I would pass on this info. What a shame because this was my favorite style of the Keens.

The Keen Owyhee are very comfortable and flexible. I wear them all day on weekends. I didn't have any problem with these shoes. Keen knows how to make good shoes.

I feel this show is great. My only comment is: I feel the Keen brand of sandals run a bit small. I have always worn a 11 1/2 shoe size. I had to get a size 13 to fit comfortably.

I really like these a lot for wearing around the house and doing yard work. I tried to walk the dogs around the neighborhood but my feet move around in them too much. I couldn't tighten them up enough to get a good fit. I do have some concerns about whether they will stay on when I wear them in wet conditions.

I used these shoes all the time in the Galapagos and they were the best and these shoes are good for hiking on rocks and getting wet.

I needed a pair of sandals, but find most uncomfortable. On your site I found these and they seemed to be just what I was looking for. When I got them, I realized they met all my requirements and more. Within a week of receiving them, Baltimore was hit by an earthquake, a hurricane and then a week of flooding rains. The Keens stood up to the extreme conditions. They truly are like barefoot but better. Thanks.

Quality construction, very comfortable, I usually wear a wide, but this medium fits fine. Like the enclosed heel for driving.

These are comfortable and light. They are not quite as good as the other sandals that I wear daily during the summer months though. Keen has great arch support.

I had gotten a pair a few years ago that were more shoe like with mesh between the 'straps' keeping more debris out. They also had drain holes in the bottom of the shoe. I can't find any Keen that comes close to that pair so I bought these instead. They are pretty nice but the sandal design is going to take some getting used to. I am hoping my little toe doesn't pop out the side! They fit true to size and once I get used to the sandal look I am sure they will do just fine.
