As a naturalist for Red Rock Canyon National Cconservation Area, I lead interpretive hikes for a living. The new Newport is an awesome all terrain shoe from trail blazing to rock scrambling. I do not feel the shoe or think about my feet after a hike of even 6-10 miles. This is the first product review I have been motivated to give. Try 'em, you'll love em!!

For a recent trip to Hawaii, I needed a basic, comfortable sandal to wear in Kauai's casual atmosphere. Turned out, I wore them the whole time I was there on vacation, except for going barefoot on the beach. They were comfortable the first time I put them on to go for a walk early in the morning we first arrived, until the afternoon that we had to pack to go home. Loved them, and will wear them all summer on the Vineyard as soon as warm weather arrives!

Like ballet shoes - I don't feel like I have shoes on when I wear these. I understand these were modeled after taking many measurements of average women's feet. I could just tap dance in them. The toe is rather rounded, almost spatula like; they could have streamlined a bit but I just love them otherwise. I wear Merrell quite a bit, but these make my feet feel more connected to the floor.

Keen Newport Review - I love this water shoe! They are so comfortable that you don't need to be near the beach or water to enjoy the way they feel or look. I liked them because they were different from the Teva and other water shoes I have.

I am a normal size 11, which is what I ordered. These shoes were too short, so I had to return them. They were, however, nicer looking than I thought they would be.

Fabulous Shoes - I needed some good walking shoes for the summer months and wanted to find some supportive sandals. I did some research and after reading the reviews of this shoe decided to try them. I love them! They are so comfortable. So I ordered another pair, the Jamestown Slides and they are equally as fabulous! Two days ago I ran into a friend I haven't seen in a while and she also had a pair of these shoes! Said she just hiked in the Southwest and never had more comfortable shoes for hiking! So my recommendation is...get them--you won't regret it.

Great sandal, have received lots of compliments, fit true to size for me. Ideal for hot humid weather. Ergonomically the foot bed could be better designed, perhaps with better instep support and heel bed, particularly for the price of the shoe.

What a great sandal. I always like unique shoes, and this is it! Very comfy and waterproof, with a toe bumper for protection from rocks. Perfect.

Although expensive for a pair of sandals, this pair is possibly the most comfortable I've ever worn! I am a 7 1/2, and the size fit true for me--even when I tried them with socks. This shoe has now replaced my favorite tennis shoes and sandals. I have a narrow foot, and find it particularily hard to find proper fitting sandals. I LOVE these shoes! I have worn them since they arrived.

Very comfortable, and great looking sandal. I always get comments whenever I wear them, the whole family has a pair, including my 10 and 13 yr-old-boys, they love them, especially the covered toe when they go exploring in the water.

I ordered the shoes in a size 7.5 but had to return them for a size 8. Then they were perfect. These shoes are great for walking a couple miles a day, even over rough terrain. The only problem is, even though they have odor guard on the soles, the leather causes them to smell very quickly if you dont wear socks with them. Even with washing.

Keen's Newport is the answer to my water shoe prayers. For years, I have looked for a covered-toe water sandal that is still open, and this one is perfect! The shoes fit my feet perfectly and when they get wet your feet stay in place--no slipping around on the footbed. And they look cool on top of all that. I love these shoes!

Keen Newport - If you're looking for an all-purpose cross shoe for light hiking, light jogging/running, and some water thrown in this the shoe for anyone. If you are in between a whole size and a half size - get the half size. This is also good when you want to wear a light to mid-heavy sock. This is also good for someone that has a wide foot and has a narrow heel. The toe protector top is what sold me, along with the better sole instead of an EVA. If you're a woman and have a really wide foot go to the men's sizes. The whole/half sizing applies also; the men's just has a wider footbed for comfort and to wear socks. When walking alot the size of the footbed accommodates the swelling foot. For those women (and you know who you are) limping after two hours and you're on vacation, this is the shoe for you. This shoe is good for anyone with a medium to xx-wide foot (thin sock only), narrow feet may have to make their judgment call or wear heavy socks. They're a light shoe and easy to pack. These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I first saw them on a coworker, and immediately decided I had to have a pair. They fit great, and there was no "break-in" period required. I usually have to suffer through blisters and such with new shoes, but not with these. I followed the advice of others and bought a size larger. Highly recommended!

Ignored the tip to get 1 size up, because I fit nicely in my size on the Keen Seattle, so I paid the price with horrible blisters the first few days I wore the Newport. I put it on a shoe stretcher for a few days and loosened up the laces some more. Now, they fit better and the blisters are gone. Just takes some wearing to be comfortable. Now they're my favorite "rainy day" sandal.

Keen Newport in Illinois - After a spur-of-the-moment weekend trip to Chicago without comfortable walking shoes, by the second half of the second day I would have paid $1,000 for such shoes. I purchased my first pair of Keen Newports! I didn't take them off for the next 14 hours! More walking, airplane delays, more walking, but I wasn't complaining. I LOVE these shoes. I bought my husband a pair for his birthday and had my sister try mine on, she bought herself a pair the next day! I'm taking my daughter to try on a pair before her upcoming honeymoon to Disney World. Love the sandal/tennis shoe effect!! GREAT SHOES!
