My daughter says "They are comfortable but if you're in a rocky or sandy place, sand and rocks get through the openings and gets stuck around the foot. It is kind of annoying."

I love what these shoes represent. But, we live in the south and it gets hot and so do her feet. The end result is very, very stinky shoes! I am not too happy about this especially for what I paid for them.

I have long resisted Keens, both for their aesthetics and for their ubiquitous presence at every camp my kids attend. But we had planned a winter trip to Florida, and I realized 2 days before we were scheduled to leave that my kids had outgrown their sandals. I decided that these would work well for many purposes, from hiking to going to the beach, so I gave them a try. Well, I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong about these shoes. They are fantastic. Lightweight, quick-drying, comfortable, durable, and protective. My kids love them. And the Whisper style is less clunky than some of the others. They even wore them with dresses, and they looked fine. I bought the turquoise for my 9-year-old and the purple for my 6-year-old, and they were happy. Fit is true to size, if a tad bit wide. But my kids have narrow feet, and they were still fine. Bottom line: A good, versatile, well-made shoe for vacation, camp, or hiking. Recommended.

I bought these shoes for a trip to Panama...since I wear a ladies' 6, I try to buy kids' shoes when I can, since they are usually a little cheaper. I got these Keens for about less than the ladies, and I love them. I wore them all over the city, on the beach, and in the jungle. The only issue with them was that they are a little larger than advertised; I had to return the first pair because they were too big (great customer service from Zappos as usual with the swap), and the pair I have now is still just a teensy bit loose. However, the arch support is wonderful, and the shoe is not so loose that it is uncomfortable or has caused blisters. I highly recommend these shoes - they are cute and comfy!

I love this product. I am a 30 year old woman with 6 size. I got youth 4 size fits like it's perfect. It is so light & I feel comfortable. My only complaint is all other products have Aegis microbe shield but this Whisper doesn't. Wonder why. Overall a very good product. Zappos did a great job of overnight shipping.

It is difficult here in Florida to find shoes with great ventilation that are acceptable to wear in school (has to be closed toe and heel), but these sure fit the bill! My daughter took to them right away, saying they are easy to put on and very comfy. Huge plus that they are cute too! I would consider getting these again when she goes up a size. The size 1 she got fit great with plenty of room for her toes.
