Shoe is nice and sturdy. My daughter is very hard on shoes (especially around the toe) so it's great that this one has the rubber all around the front. It's comfortable for her too. Kudos to Zappos for having super duper quick shipping (2 days).

My daughter only wears Keens. They can endure a whole school year of running, mud, etc and she loves the toe space. I probably wouldn’t recommend them for children with very narrow feet or those who like a snug, lightweight shoe. For kids who are hard on shoes and need the extra support that hikers offer, these are perfect.

Like all Keens, these are beautifully made and very sturdy and visually appealing. The problem with this style for us was that the heel is cut somewhat low, which made my daughter feel as if she was stepping out of them, so back they go. Otherwise, a very, very nice shoe.

My very active son has a tendency to ruin his sneakers and start walking pigeon toed. He loves these and so far so good - walking straight!

I bought a pair of these for both my girls, 5 year old twins. They love them! We hiked around a couple state parks and they kept the girls comfy and kept their feet dry when it rained (although they are not waterproof, they minimized water getting to their feet). Great buy! I researched the prices and Zappos had the best deal!
