These boots fit me better than any I've owned, mostly because of Keen's characteristic wide toe box. I don't have wide feet, but every other pair of boots I have owned have been crowded in the front, making long downhill stretches uncomfortable. The insole on these boots could use a little more support and cushion, but that's easily remedied with a replacement insole. If these boots prove to be durable over the next several years, I'll definitely buy Keen hiking boots again when it comes time to replace them.

I wore custom made cowboy packers from Whites for 35 years and know I am a true D width. These boots are an E/EE width. I have a narrow heel and wide ball and toes. They are not a medium width. When wet they become very big around the ball of the foot and toes, the leather stretches. The laces wore through in 4 weeks and took a Dremel tool and smoothed out the eight lower lace holes so they would not eat up the laces. These boots are for fat toes and fat feet. The boots should fit snug not loose and sloppy at the heel or ball of foot. I did get the right size for the length. I have had these boots about a month and wear them every day for 8 to 10 hours. I walk every morning 3 to 5 miles for exercise and hunting feral hogs in the rocks, mud, up and down steep hills, rock bluffs, brush and briers. The workmanship is good, materials are good, construction good, support is very good and good cushion. When you pay this much they should at least offer different widths. Anyone with an A, B,or C width will swim in these boots. It may just be the Ericksons but I doubt it, my wife wears a pair of low cut hiking shoes by Keen and has a D width also and they fit the same, sloppy at the ball and toes. Try a pair on at a store before buying over the net. On a better note Zappos is the place to buy.

Very well made, easy to lace up, supportive and comfortable. The sole provides good traction in the mud and snow and is very easy to clean.
Brands I'd also recommend: Comparable to Merrell Gore Tex Perimeter which I also own

Comfortable out of the box. Great fit just as I expected. I have not been in any wet conditions yet so I am hopeful the Keen Dry is as good as Gortex. If not I won't buy another pair of Keens with Keen Dry lining. Zappos service is very good as usual. Standard shipping arrived in 2 days. Thanks Zappos.

These boots should be worth the price although well below the quality of Asolo, etc. However, I needed a general pair of boots and elected these after much research, including Zappos much acclaimed customer service. The order was easy and guaranteed a delivery date and time. So a trip was planned and faith based on the so-called excellent service. Needless to say, they arrived late and after I had to depart. I'm looking forward to wearing the boots, but not Zappos's future service claims. Sugary responses to the support service do not mitigate unfulfilled promises. Same on Zappos!
