These were not up to the comfort level of my other Keene. They were heavy, the leather was stiff and unyielding and I thought they felt very clunky. I'm on the fence as far as the high back heel. At first I thought it was uncomfortable then I thought maybe it would help with my skinny heel slipping around, however since the entire shoe was a bust it's hard to tell you if it was a good thing or not. These did run about a half size too big. Going back.
I'd also recommend: Ecco

I loved the color and wanted these to work, but they were actually uncomfortable to even try on. I never put the 2nd shoe on or walked around. I wear an 8 or 8.5, so ordered the 8.5 and my toes were still painfully crammed. The strap across the top was pretty uncomfortable too. I expect Keens to be a bit wide, but these are exceptionally boxy and wide at the toes, and slipped off my heel. I also ordered the Mercer MJ and they were not quite as wide and while still a bit on the short side, fit much better.

So disappointed. Keen's sizing is so small. I'm usually a 10.5. I ordered size 11 and my toes touch the end of the shoe. The back of it comes up high and presses on the Achilles tendon and they are tight and sharp across the top of the toes. Very sad they are going back!
