A brilliant design. Works perfectly with my size 15 feet and the snug fit is perfect for biking. No bad for walking, too. Could not be happier.

These Keen Commuters are very comfortable for bike shoes. They work perfectly for their intended design. If you ride a lot and make a lot of stops along the way, these will fit the bill. They did feel just a little narrow at first but they did loosen up nicely. They feel true to size after break in.

I love Keens and was excited to have these for my 15 mile daily bicycle commute. However, unlike every other pair of Keens I've owned, these run very narrow. They were very uncomfortable and are going back.

Shoes work well for biking. Are comfortable. The medium is a little narrow but probably better as a bike shoe. The design has the hook strip of Velcro going up under the tongue pull strap making it a little harder to open the shoe and get back in. 3 mm less would do the trick. Toe cap rather than open sandal is good.

Great shoe easy on and off and very comfortable. I use them when riding through the paved forest preserve trail or a casual ride to the local coffee shop. Although I didn't purchase them for mountain biking, I would be a little concerned with the overall foot protection.

Easy shopping, priced the same as the Keen website in a size they did not have, shipped free and promptly. These are jsut the bike shoes for me, agood mix of protection and ventilation and easy to make the transition into street-wear.

I was looking for a sandal for biking in my size, and Keen Commuter II was the only brand I found. I wear a 15 in sport shoes, yet needed to reorder one size smaller to get a good fit in length. The width was narrower that other Keen sandals I've tried, but having a narrow foot, they work for me. They have a little flex in the sole for walking, yet are stiff enough for recreational biking. Can be use with or without cleats, just wished that the SPD cleats needed came with these sandals. Overall they are nice to use when the temperatures are warm. I wouldn't hesitate in buying another pair. Price could be lower at Zappos as I found them cheaper online else were, but only Zappos had them in my size.

Bought these specifically for riding in the rain (not far, only 14 miles round trip). I use single release cleats (i.e. only clip out with sideways twist). They do the job quite well. They have a very low, narrow profile - just like regular cycling shoes, especially the narrow. I have other Keen sandals and these Commuters are definitely narrower - which is a good thing for cycling shoes. As such, my "width" rating is based on cycling shoes not walking-around shoes. I got the size 12 and the length is just right. The only downside I have experienced is that, if you like to go hard up hills, you should not expect to be able to pull up on the pedals like you would with regular cycling shoes. In my case, because of the low profile, the back ankle strap doesn't sit above my heel but more on it, even with the instep strap pulled pretty tight. Having said all that, the name of these shoes are "Commuter", and they're sandals, so expecting the same performance as regular cycling shoes is probably asking a bit much. Oh, and if you put cleats on, I would recommend lightly greasing the threads. After my second ride in the rain I noticed the extra holes in the footbed plate already had some surface rust. So, if you ever want to get those cleats off later on. Overall, a very good commuting cycling sandal. Comfortable enough that I've even worn them walking to the store in the rain too.

These are definitely narrow shoes -- I wear a AA width and I'm able to get these to fit by cinching the straps all the way down. Don't get me wrong -- these are no AA. I'd estimate they're about a B width. In any event, they're comfortable and fun to ride in. And you can actually walk in them, although they're pretty stiff. I wouldn't go for a long hike in them.

My wife and I are new to cycling and hope to do some long distance touring. We heard about the Keen Commuter's and thought they sounded good. I must say that we are very pleased with them. They fit great and clip-in fine. There isn't a problem with the width because they have an adjustment that allows the sandals to expand. Off the bike they're great because the clip is recessed so you don't need covers to walk around in.

Best shoes ever. I've never been a great fan of sandals. They're usually fine for the pool, but anything beyond that...forget it. But these made me want to wear sandals all the time...and with such comfort and durability, I now can. Thank you Keen!
