These were my first Zappos purchase and it was a good experience. The shoes were on sale and I ordered three pairs to try on. There was no fuss on returning the other two and the return was processed quickly. I bought these to have good quality walking shoes that were not sneakers. I needed something to handle more casual days at work, some outdoor activity, and travel. These fit the bill. I am flat footed and arch support has not been a problem. There was a little bit of break in time and they are not the most flexible pair of shoes that I have had, but there were no problems getting them on or off. When I first got them they felt too small and my feet would ache after a day. It turned out that the lacing was just too tight out of the box. Once I did a big loosing of the laces the problem went away. They are holding up great for work and outdoors. I just did a last minute cabin trip with some light hiking. For personal travel I am hoping these can be the only shoes that I need to take, as long as I do not need to get dressed up.

These were great shoes for everyday use. Two things changed. They stopped stitching the sole to the shoe (starting to use an inferior glue) and the rubber used for the sole wares out in under 6 months. Not worth the money.

I loved the shoe for about 3 months until the soles started to squeak and peel off. Returned and got a second pair and they started to do the same thing a few months later. They must have a glue issue. Love Keen shoes but this model is bad.

Like other reviewers have said, the sole became separated from the shoe after about 6 months. Also, even if they had not separated, the sole wore down very quickly. It's a shame as I had been buying this style (similar) from Keen for quite a while and this latest batch/version has terrible durability.

This is my second pair of Keens (the other is an ankle boot). These are great looking shoes, really nice leather texture. Very comfortable (they're Keens!). Haven't worn them long so would have to report back on longevity, but am happy with them right out of the box. A bit pricier than I would like, but if they stay solid after a few years of regular wear, then it'll be worth the cost. Also, Zappos is the bombdiggity. Great service and support.

These are my most comfortable Keen shoes, and I have several pairs of Keens because my arches need support. These Austins have just the right weight and fit and they were very comfortable for walking right out of the box.
I'd also recommend: Timberland, Merrill

These are good looking shoes. They are sturdy and well-made. Perfect for work. I will get more Keen brand shoes in the future.
