My foot is size 7.5 and medium width. At first, I was worried the 8 might be a little big, but once I put it on and walked around I knew it was a good fit and I was glad to have purchased a 1/2 size bigger. Pros: First off, they needed no break in time and are very comfortable. I wore them for about an hour at home with no issues. Then I wore them on a 7 mile hike crossing streams, climbing stones/logs/trees and never did I experience any discomfort. The width was perfect. There is plenty of room in the toe box for wiggling and swelling on long hikes. I like the rubber toe protector. The shoes have wonderful traction. The laces stayed right in place and never loosened up. I had good ankle support without any chaffing. I also felt the shoe had good arch support, and I have high arches. Oh, and the boots look cool, too :) Con: The boot was not completely waterproof. Water seeped in through the mesh lining of course. Water was not sloshing around my feet at all. The shoes did not seem to hold onto water. But my socks did get wet. Surprisingly, I was still comfortable with my wet socks on in these shoes. I should have brought another pair of sock and let the shoes air out a few minutes and it probably would've been just fine. Because of this con, I will rate the overall as 4 stars. Overall, I love my new Keens and am planning another hike this week in them!

Great boot! I have a high arch and these are very supportive. I got them in the same size that I wear in my Asics running shoes, which is a half size larger than my heels or sandals. Fit is good. I tried the Keen Voyageur Mid first but they were uncomfortable at the inner ankle because they have a continuous piece of leather that crosses and cuts into the ankle bone. It might have broken in over time but was too uncomfortable to bother with. The Keen Shasta Mid did not have good arch support at all. The Merrell Ventilator Mid was sized very strangely. Their 9.5 was too small but their 10 was too big. I did try these Alamosas in a local store in the shoe instead of the boot. They were great but my husband really recommended I get the ankle support of the boot. They have mesh partially around the ankle which makes them very comfortable. Also, these were by far the cutest of the hiking boots I tried. They actually make my foot look small. The Keen toe piece is not as prominent which I like. Happy Hiking!
Brands I'd also recommend: Asics Gel Nimbus, Reef Fanning
