There's some things about this boot I love- it's super comfy and the wedge heel is cute. It would be the perfect boot if not for the fact that it is HUGE in the calves. I would say my calves are average-not skinny or large. I am swimming in these boots though so I think they are best for those with large calves.
I'd also recommend: La Canadienne

AHHHHHmazing. So cozy and very cute. I have an average sized calf and the boot shaft is really roomy, which I think looks cute with skinnies. This is a perfect gray color, goes with everything.

Seeking boots comfortable but stylish enough to travel and really walk around in, these ended up being perfect for a trip to NY walking around with students and ending the day at a Broadway show. Paired well with a knit dress one day, jeans and a sweater the next, dress up or down and look put together. My calves are sturdier one, from bicycling,and the shafts on these boots were great, easy fitting but not too loose (I am 5, 5, about 128) stayed up ans glide against your legs comfortable; the leather is smooth and breathes well, zipper mean easy on and off. They are not a pitch black,but a soft off black which is nice, a cool neutral. I highly recommend these boots for versatility and comfort.

These boots are very comfortable and the leather is nice and soft. I am typically a size 8 with rather wide calves (15.5"). I checked the Keen website and they recommended ordering a 1/2 size up so I did. I ordered an 8 1/2 and they fit great. I can wear tights, leggings and jeggings with the boots over them. I have had them for over a month now and have worn them for long distances and durations and they have held up very well and are very comfortable to walk in with the slight wedge heel. I highly recommend.

I have been looking for a black boot for an upcoming trip. I will be on my feet, but wanted to still look cute. I have a pair of Merrill's that I love, but have gotten too fat to wear (damn calves!) so I ordered the Keen. I love the wedge and the fact that I can zip them all the way up.
