Out on the rough, windy waters of the Bering Sea over 13 years ago, KAVU´s Strap Cap was developed. It was a hat that would protect one´s head, keep the sun off the face, and stay on in the most powerful winds. The original Strap Cap is a canvas cap secured by a band of 5000 pound strength webbing allowing for on-head adjustment. Now a signature KAVU piece, the Strap Cap stays on in almost any outdoor condition from Everest to the Zambezi river.
Today and everyday, KAVU creates men's and women's outdoor clothing using a variety of durable, rugged and comfortable fabrics in designs that take people through all the adventures of daily life. KAVU also has an extensive accessory line, including hats, bags, and sunglasses. The company staff and Team KAVU product testers enjoy the pursuit of the outdoors in their own backyard and around the world.
The enthusiasm in the quest for the perfect day still thrives at KAVU, or a KAVU day still drives the company to innovate and inspire outdoor fun through their line.

I just love this bag for everyday use. It is thick enough to withstand the rain. Very cute and convenient to wear over shoulder for safety reasons.Read more » « Show less November 8, 2011 by Rose

I love the colors and fabric of this bag. And the compartments are perfect, BUT it is constructed backwards! This bag is made to be worn on the wrong shoulder, which makes the cell phone pocket on my back and the big ugly plastic strap adjuster in the front. I normally wear a bag over my right shoulder and it rests on my left hip. I think this is the way most people wear a shoulder bag. For some reason this bag is made for the opposite shoulder. I decided to keep the bag anyway and wear it backwards, but what a shame, it would be a perfect bag if it was made correctly. I have another bag from Kavu and it was not made backwards as this one is. It would have been 5 stars, but backwards bags only get two.Read more » « Show less June 28, 2009 by Anonymous

This is the best purse ever! In fact, this is the second one I have bought (one for summer, and this one for winter). I did think the color looked more gray, but it is dark green. One major thing I like is the cell phone pocket on the strap. I have an older iPhone and a big Otter Box case on it, and it still fits! Everything I need (as a mom of two and small business owner) fits perfectly in this beautiful purse.

I wanted something compact and hands free. This is a great bag, love the little pocket that holds my cell phone, and I have room for my wallet, packs of gum, keys, camera. Other reviewers have indicated the strap can bother your neck. This is true, depending on what I am wearing. If I have a coat on, no problem. A t-shirt, and it does rub a bit. Not a huge issue, but it seems like the strap could be made softer some how. It also depends on how much weight you have in the bag. Really like it, wish I had found it sooner, and lots of people compliment the bag and ask where I bought it. Really well made, nice quality, durable. I'm really pleased with my purchase.

I usually spend 78-100 dollars on Fossil bags that have this similar size and number of pockets, but decided to give this bag a try. Perfect number of pockets for me, can fit a full-sized wallet, sunglasses, lotions, keys, small paperback, and various odds and ends with no trouble. I love the organizational front pocket, and how light the purse is overall. The wide strap doesn't dig into my shoulder. Definitely very pleased with this purse, and happy I leapt from my comfort zone to buy it!

Best Handbag Ever! I have been using this bag for about 2 years now. It fits comfortably over your head and shoulder, leaving both hands free to handle other things. Three of the four pockets are accessible with one hand, plus the cell-phone pocket. The outer zipper pocket is wonderful for keys, plus has pen pockets, and a very small zippered compartment inside. The main compartment is large enough for wallet, hairbrush, glasses, etc. It can take some experimenting to get the strap exactly the right length for comfort and accessibility. This is not a bag to look cool with, but it is extremely functional. My biggest complaint is that, on the first one I bought, the velcro on the cell-phone compartment began to tear off, and my phone constantly fell out whenever I set the bag down. This happened only after I had used the bag for about a year.
