I ordered this bag because I wanted something small that could go with black or brown, and it's great in that respect. For some reason this bag is flatter than I expected; could use more width. It's also stiffer material than I expected, and kind of makes a plastic-y rattle when you're digging around in it. I really like the black/white/gray weave color and the buckle detail is super-cute; the magnetic snap makes it super-easy to snap/unsnap one-handed. But the buckle strap is also stiff and so a little bit of a pain to keep bent out of the way when you have the zipper open. Overall it's a keeper; two girlfriends complimented it the first time I took it out.

The Best! This bag is my favorite. Sturdy yet pliable, great with any attire. I have it in black and also the wool tweed for a dressier look. Holds a lot for the size. An all-around great, fantastic purse!

I love this purse! This is the third Kavu purse in a row that I have purchased over the past 5 years. The brand is durable, stylish and functional and I was looking to buy another Kavu specifically. I was looking for a purse that I could use daily that could go light (just the essentials, and I have a number), to heavy (including snacks for my kid, an extra pair of gloves, etc.). This is just what I needed! It has three zipper pockets, two in the front. First is smaller, keep thin things here; second is bigger, perfect for wallet, phone, keys and the back zipper is larger, good for medications, feminine products, lotion, tissues; to bottle drink, snacks etc. if you're going heavy. The adjustable strap is great; you can wear it around the shoulder or across the body. I like funky colors, but I thought this marigold design was kind of lame when viewed on the website, but functionality was my priority so I bought it. It ended up being brighter and better that I thought and I really like it. If you have a lot of smaller items, I recommend keeping them bundled together in smaller containers or pouches (i.e., lipsticks/chapsticks, tampons, etc), or they could get lost in there. That method works for me anyway. Two thumbs up on this purse on looks, quality, and functionality! Also, Zappos was great! I purchased faster shipping since I was on my way out of town. I ordered it on a Thursday and got it on a Monday, and I live in a remote area, so the shipping was excellent!

Good, sturdy, roomy, practical bag that doesn\'t have that backpack-y look. You have the option of folding the top down and fastening the latch so it has more of a purse shape. And it has umpteen little compartments you can tuck things into. One of the best things about it, though, is the choice of fabrics. I regret that the multi-dots pattern I really liked was sold out by the time I decided to order, but the fabric I chose (pumpkin dash) is kinda fun too. A good purchase!

I bought this to use as a diaper bag. It's well made and durable, and doesn't look babyish at all. The various compartments are nice for keeping contents organized. The bag is a bit large to tote around for quick outings, but has plenty of space for my purse contents plus baby stuff. It would also make a great gym bag.

I purchased the bag for vacation purposes. I used it to carry beach towels water bottles and sun tan location. Not to mention additional pockets inside to secure small items. It was a great purchase in my opinion.

This is the best bag I've had. It fits my 40 oz. water canteen, and all the other little things a gal likes to have with her. It's very utilitarian, but without compromising the cute! I also like that it isn't enormous. It's really a down to earth purse rather than a bag.

I freaking love this bag. Slightly larger than anticipated, but totally comfortable to wear diagonally from shoulder to hip or let hang on one. I love the thick fibers in the weave. Really durable construction. I've given it a good beating already & it's fared just fine. I plan to bring it with me when I travel.

This bag is fabulous! It\'s adjustable strap makes it easy to fit it where you want it. I\'ve been looking for a hands free purse. It has a ton of pockets so you don\'t have to go digging around to find things. Also, it shipped really quickly. Thumbs up!

Not the prettiest bag (only 4 stars for looks), but highly functional. Light, roomy with lots of pockets for your stuff: camera, cell phone, wallet, tickets, passport, etc.

Love this purse! It has the right amount of space and is not too big. There are plenty of pockets so everything stays organized and it stays on my shoulder nicely. Also is very fashonable!

Awesome little bag! Very well made and really adorable. I love it for the days when I don\'t feel like lugging a big bag around. I gave the comfort 4 stars only because the strap is a little stiff. Would have been great if the strap was made of canvas, fabric or a softer strap.

Kavu Rope Bag - I got this bag in white, I wish Zappos had a black one in stock or maybe a blue one, since I'm not normally a white bag person, but the bag isn't too bright, it is a nice white. I like the two pockets on the side and I also like the easy access pockets, one for my phone and chapstick, the other one for hand wipes or Purell, which you really need now a days in reach! The bag fits nice and feels good on the back. The only complaint I have is that the strap that I tighten, has no place for the extra strap to go. I hope I didn't get one that someone returned that broke; I'm sure Zappos would have caught something like that. Other than that piece hanging down on the bag, I really like it. If Zappos gets a black one, maybe I'll get that one, too! It isn't too big, nor too small. Perfect for my purse for outings. I'm looking forward to taking it to the Big E as my purse; I want to be hands free when I shop!

I love this bag! I had one, it wore out, and I bought my second replacement. It is just large enough for basic belongings, and fits in my bike bag perfectly. I use it for biking and traveling.

The bag is cute but is a lot smaller than what I was looking for, the shape doesn't allow it to open wide or give way for a bigger item. If you just like it for an across the body bag than I'd recommend it, but if you're looking for something to hold a bunch of your stuff while you walk around, it's probably not best.

I bought this bag to take on a trip out of the country this past summer. It was my main bag and I used it every day. I purchased the Kavu brand due to their good reputation on making long lasting and durable outdoor articles. Unfortunately, after only 1 1/2 months the seams began to come apart. I contacted Zappos and they exchanged it for a duplicate bag. I have yet to use the new one; hopefully it will last longer. This bag would work great for traveling, outdoor activities or even around town. The good: great pockets on the outside! The front side has both a large zipper pocket and 2 large pockets which close with velcro for easy access. The backside has two medium zipper pockets which can hold your wallet, camera or MP3 player. It is a backpack done in a "shoulder-sling" fashion so it has more versatility than a backpack because it can be worn on your back or side. It also works better than a backpack because it can be "folded" in half taking on the appearance of a messenger bag and becoming more compact as well. The bad: it only has one pocket on the inside. It is large but it's hard to find things fast. A better design would have been one large pocket with a smaller one on top. Also, there is a pocket for a cell phone on the shoulder strap, but the width is too small to fit most phones (depth and height are good). All-in-all, the design of the bag is great and very versatile. If the seams hold up on this one, then it's a winner!

Really like these: fit true to size and wide leg, the material drapes well and is soft to the touch. Looks well constructed; I haven't laundered yet, but seems like they'll hold up well and not need a lot of ironing. Can work for slightly more dressy occasions than just outdoorsy casual because of the silkiness of the fabric.

My wife loves this bag, acquired for our travels in Italy. Canvas provides a nice feel and the size and configuration of compartments is ideal. 2 negative points: the label is too big/visible and she would prefer a version without the cell phone holder integrated into the strap. Otherwise, a great bag. Naturally Zappos' service was exceptional.

Nice little bag, great bright colors, roomy (it expands and has lots of pockets) and is easy to wear. I thought it was going to be larger in size when I ordered it, so pay attention to the dimensions. However it comes in handy for summer trips where you want to keep your stuff to a minimum.

I love this bag. I have the mixed dot pattern and it matches almost every outfit. It is a bit small for my everyday, all-purpose bag, but ideal for shopping or outings when I don't want to bring as much with me. It's bright and fun and makes me smile!

These skirts are the best! The fit is super cute. The waist rolls down if you want a lower waist and the length comes to about mid-calf for me. I am 5' 4". I love the cute and style so much I ordered one in every color. I do not find the fit too tight and ordered an XS. I find it to be the perfect river skirt. I can change in and out of my river clothes without exposing any body and the little pocket lets me keep a key or chap stick handy. Buy this skirt, you won't be disappointed.

About Kavu

In 1993 KAVU, Klear Above Visibility Unlimited, was launched with a single product and a strong philosophy - live life to its fullest every day. An entrepreneurial spirit and this philosophy have provided direction for the company since its inception.

Out on the rough windy waters of the Bering Sea over 13 years ago, KAVU’s Strap Cap was developed. It was a hat that would protect ones head, keep the sun off the face, and stay on in the most powerful winds. The original Strap Cap- a canvas cap secured by a band of 5000 pound strength webbing allowing for on-head adjustment. Now a signature KAVU piece, the Strap Cap stays on in almost any outdoor condition from Everest to the Zambezi river.

Today and everyday, KAVU creates men and women's outdoor clothing using a variety of durable, rugged and comfortable fabrics in designs that take people through all the adventures of daily life. KAVU also has an extensive accessory line, including hats, bags, and sunglasses. The company staff and Team KAVU product testers enjoy the pursuit of the outdoors in their own backyard and around the world.
