Were they this comfortable in the 80s? I just got these and just from trying them on and wearing them around the house, they seem as though they'll be very comfortable. They have a perfectly flat bottom and a wide toe box, so if you tend to have some foot problems or don't work in all shoes, these could be your ticket. I opted for these instead of other low-profile pairs because the sole appears to be thicker. I was worried that, as compared with the 3-oz weight of some other shoes, these would feel heavy at 11 oz--but they don't! I'll update my review after I've had a chance to wear them more, but upfront I am very impressed. Stable, comfy, and seem as though they will allow your feet to expand in the toe box on hot days without feeling cramped. I will say, when you order these, order the size you normally wear and then one smaller too--especially if you're a woman. I am a perfect fit in my Asics in a 10, here I am a half-a-size smaller (8.5 because it's a men's style). I agree with the previous reviewer about Zappos' customer service--it's simply unbeatable!! So refreshing to find a company that still actually cares about making their customers happy. Icing on the cake that they have the best on-line selection of ANY shoe seller out there!!

Very comfy right out of the box, almost too soft. Very comfy, but feels too soft on a long walk, no support also, after about 30 minutes of walking in a week, sole already showing signs of wear.

Sweeeeet. First off, truly, Zappos is AMAZING. Their customer service, their promptness, EVERYTHING. This is my place to shop for shoes (and probably more) from now on. The shoe itself is awesome. Got the black/red one. Really, really comfortable, and great to walk in. Should serve me well for the winter weather! At first I thought it was running a little small, and then I just figured that it was actually a perfect fit after walking in them a little bit. Definitely recommend these.

Comfortable, but poor quality - I first put on the shoe and it was one of the most comfortable I have ever worn despite previously loving NB574. I got many compliments on the look and style (in red). However, after just over a month the sole started separating from the shoe and the track liner peeling off cushion. I was very disappointed in the quality of the shoe and after 2 months the cushion sole is falling off at the heel. Thankfully, Zappos kindly allowed an exchange. I would not recommend these as a walking or everyday shoe.

COMFY! I bought these shoes because I have to be on my feet a lot. It has been awhile since I've ordered shoes online and outside of the fact that they were a little bigger than what I normally where, they're a great shoe. I tend to wear thinner socks during the summer and spring so that could be the case. Most comfortable shoe ever and very classic look. Definitely looking to get another pair soon.

I've purchased 4 different color Combat ROOS from Zappos/6pm. They are my favorite shoes. I've been wearing my first pair from Zappos for over 6 years! They usually get noticed from old farts in their 40s saying "I used to wear those" or "I remember when people wore those." Not sure if it's a compliment, but I enjoy them a lot. I really feel like these shoes are "mine" because they're not very popular.

These shoes are quite comfy, and I like the style, but did run into some problems that others have noted here. The laces are quite difficult, but that has eased a bit in the past few months. But the biggest problem for me is the rubber sole separated within weeks with moderate usage. Kind of a bummer. But, those issues aside, I like the shoes a lot. They are indeed quite comfortable to walk around in.

I love these shoes. They are stylish enough to wear on dates, as I have done a few times, and just bumming around the house or running errands. They did cut into my left ankle at first, although after some time they’ve molded to the contours of my feet. The only negative is that they seem to stain easily. I purchased sneaker cleaner and have had to use it twice now. Lastly, I haven’t had problems with the laces as others have mentioned. The shoe has broken in nicely in every respect. I also put my identification info in the pocket in the scary event I get run over walking down the street.

Brands I'd also recommend: Saucony Originals, New Balance Originals or Puma Cabana Racer

Received these on time as promised, and I am very happy with the fit and quality of these shoes. Very comfortable and look just like I anticipated. We ordered two pairs, and the red pair was defective and I am in the process of sending them back. The inside supports were unglued and had no support. My pair in black are fine so far even though they don't feel very durable.

I\'ve only had them for a few weeks, but I love these guys (the Roos). Zappos\' customer service was very impressive, as they make it really easy to return\/exchange stuff. I have never bought shoes online before, but I\'ll definitely check with Zappos next time I\'m looking for some more. I will say the Roos don\'t feel very durable, so I\'m erring on the side of \'babying\' them and keeping them out of bad weather and other situations that may accelerate the wear. But they sure are sharp!

These shoes came to my door quicker than expected. For the low price, the shoes are pretty comfortable, as far as width and shoe form go. A great look for a shoe that most people don\'t wear and of course I have to give it a plus for the little pouch that come on the side. If they ever wear out, I will for sure be purchasing myself a new pair of these.
