Icecrusher - I purchased these boots with the intention of them being temporary until I got a chance to go out and shop. Boy was I surprised when they arrived the next day, fit perfectly, and allowed me to stand in ice cold water for over an hour while hunting. I love these boots!

From a southerner in his first snowstorm - This boot is incredible. It is completely waterproof, has a nice inner lining, and decent traction (nothing absurd like spikes). The boot is good for things like shoveling snow, but not best for walking distances because of the heavy weight. I heard that this boot was great for water-related hunting. I don't hunt, but I could definitely see that standing in this boot would be comfortable for a long period of time. It fits very snuggly with normal socks, so thicker wool socks might be slightly uncomfortable. Again, I use it for shoveling snow or driving short distances (it is hard to drive because the sole of the boot is not flexible, thus making it hard to push the car pedals). Lastly I like the name: "What are you wearing?" - "Oh, I’m wearing my IceCRUSHERS."
Brands I'd also recommend: Simple, O.S. Sneaker Cork (not a boot, just a cool shoe).

These Kamik boots are excellent. First, they come in large sizes so I was able to find a mens 14 with no problem. They are well made and entirely waterproof, making them great for shore fishing later in the season when the water is really cold. I am looking forward to shoveling in these boots this winter, as I can already tell that they will keep me warmer than any winter boots I\'ve previously owned. I was so pleased when I got these a few weeks ago that I turned around and bought a pair for each of my two little ones!

These boots were just what I was looking for. I can\'t swear to how they\'ll hold up once the snow and ice hit, but the construction seems perfect to deal with both. They are a bit heavy, but this is likely what will keep your feet warm and dry. Take that, Chicago winter!

My foot size: 10\r\nShoes size: 10\r\n\r\nThese shoes can be 1/2 too big. So, if you\'re a size 10.5, you should order the size 10. It will fit you just fine. With these boots you won\'t need to wear thick socks, since there is an internal lining that makes the shoe feel very heavy.\r\n\r\nThe overall construction of the boots is very durable. At the same time, the weight is an issue for me.\r\n\r\nThe yucky green color is the only color avaiable. So you can\'t really wear it to an office space without being noticed.\r\n\r\nIf you\'re looking for a lightweight alternative that comes in black, try the Kamik Workday 2 or 3. Of course the difference between the Workday 2 & 3, is the steel shank that sits in the midsole on the Workday 3 to support shoveling activities.
Brands I'd also recommend: Kamik Workday 3

First off, I took the advice of another writer. I wear a 10.5d, he suggested 10, and he was right. I have worn them through 2 snow storms, the 2nd was 18" & they were great. The only thing is -40 below is a stretch. I don't know how these are rated, but my buddy who lives outdoors during hunting season says his LaCrosse boots do the same thing. Overall the fit, stability (I have bad ankles), walking & feel are superb!
Brands I'd also recommend: These are my first pair,so,I'llstay with what I know.

I bought these for mu husband. He usually wears a 10.5/11. Ordered the 10 based on reviews. Those were too big for him. Wound up ordering a 9 which fit him perfectly. These are definitely wide and my husband has a narrow foot. He likes them and enjoys treading through the NYC snow in them. He says they are comfortable and not too heavy.

Nice warm heavy duty boot. A bit stiff/hard to flex ankle but worth it for the ruggedness. A model like their Hunter is much more flexible at the ankle and comfortable if you don't have to beat on them, but I destroyed a pair of Hunters with a great deal of kicking free objects frozen to the ground. Baffin and Kamik both make excellent insulated waterproof boots.
Brands I'd also recommend: Baffin boots are equally great

While the fit was exactly as described, I found this boot was as slippery on ice as a "standard" snowmobile boot. I wear a women's 10 & went up a size to a men's 9 (instead of 8). Style-wise, it's a boot - worn for a relatively short time, I don't expect arch support, I expect & received cold weather protection with this boot.

Don't expect to be walking miles In these boots because it's not going to happen. But will happen are dry warm feet for low level activities like ice fishing or going out in the snow storm to shovel out the driveways good boot to slip on quick get out there and get that job done. Get a size smaller then normal because overtime the felt liner will compact or get a size you normally wear and be prepared to wear extra socks overtime.

These products worked as expected. I got a full size too small and it fit perfectly. Got the smallest size available for my wife and even with 2 socks in were too big for her. Warm, waterproof, a little heavy.

I have used these boots for two winters of ice fishing and snow shoveling. They are totally waterproof and have kept me plenty warm when paired with wool socks. There is enough calf and foot room to fit long johns and heavy socks and the boots themselves aren't too huge to fit my snow pants over them. They are bit stiff to use for hiking or snowshoeing but are a great value and are perfect for what I need.
