Up until the S5, I thought the S3 was the best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned, and believe me I've owned many sunglasses over the decades. For me the only difference between the S3 and S5 is the S5 fits my face slightly better. The key selling points of the S3 and S5 for me are the; featherweight, optical clarity, no visual distortion, and polarization uniformity are an unmatched combination I haven't found in any other pair of sunglasses. If you are looking for an ultimate pair of modernized aviator styled sunglasses, you definitely need to seriously consider the S3 or S5. The one word of caution and the only nit-pick I have is the earpieces end in fairly sharp points. So until you get the hang of putting them on and taking them off, expect to poke yourself a couple times when you rush to put them on. Other than that, the S5 is the closest I've ever come to finding the perfect sunglasses.
