This is my first pair of race skates and I have been using them for about two months. The boot is great, soft yet plenty of support, it fits perfectly. I love these skates and the new speed! All my skates have been K2 and they have held up really well. And this sounds like an ad : ) but it\'s not.

Initially I felt like my feet were sliding around in the boot, but after breaking them in and wearing down the wheels(by skating around), it felt more natural. These skates have been wonderful after I broke them in. It only took about an hour of skating to get the feel for them. I read some reviews about the durability of the boot if you fall, luckily I havn\'t had to experience that yet. So I can\'t comment on how well the boot holds up. Other than that I\'d recommend these skates to your average skater. They may be a little too fast for a beginner and just a tad slow for advanced. Personally I don\'t care much for the look of the skate but it rides well. I\'m giving it 4 stars on comfort due to my feet not fitting snug in the boot... to each\'s own though!

I just bought this product here at Zappos and it just arrived today. It took about 3 days to arrive, so that was pretty fast. At first, I had trouble putting them on until I found out that you could take the first strap off. Whoops? My own flaw. Well the skates have been working and comprehending well. Though I'm a beginner skater and I sadly don't know how to stop. The color is a bit ugly, and it's very conferrable. Practice makes perfect... ;)

I needed some inline skates as I just moved close to a beach. The soft boot was ideal as I wanted some comfortable skates. After doing some research these K2 came out as being really comfortable and a good compromise for beginners. I have used them a lot and could not be happier. I wear size 12 in Nike shoes, 12 in Salomon, 11 in Clarks, 45 in Eccos, and my K2 size was 12. The wheels are very soft and it is so nice to skate everyday by the ocean.

Holy Smokes!Fast, stable, comfortable, and long-gliding! Have skated every day since receiving these beauties and have major skate-on-the-brain when not. I'm never deviating from the K2 brand again; they're simply the best.

My first skate with K2. I was impressed with the good looks and the light aluminum frame. It is extremely comfortable and offers a good glide when seasoned. I think that if you're considering recreational skating as a sport, and have a budget for these, these skates are great!

K2 Athena skates great - These are great skates - comfortable and cute as can be. I love that a portion of the K2 profits goes to breast cancer research also. One word of warning: order a size larger than you think. I learned this the hard way with a previous K2 inline skates purchase and unfortunately I had not purchased it through Zappos so was unable to return it. Zappos was great... I love the guarantee and I experienced a nice bonus: an email stating that they were upgrading the shipping at no extra cost to me. I ordered these skates late Thursday night and was skating in them Saturday. Love the skates and love Zappos!

After years on K2 Moto Fitness skates, I "upgraded" to the Moto 90s. They tie up a little different than the Moto Fitness skates and chew at the laces. After the first day, one lace was almost chewed through. They also don't feel as secure around the ankle as my other skates. After a few days, one of the wheels starting making a terrible sound that could be described as chirping. K2s response was dirty bearings, but for skates a week old and used for a couple of hours I doubt it. No longer happy with the K2 bearings, I ended up replacing all the K2 bearings with my older Bones bearings. The skates felt true to size and are comfortable, though not as secure as I'd like. As far as appearance, the skates are very white and look like new shoes on the first day of school. A fan of K2 for years, I'll now consider other brands for my next purchase. As usual, Zappos service was outstanding and the skates arrived much sooner than expected. Thanks!

Amazing skates - I ordered these a day ago, and Zappos was kind enough to surprise me and upgrade my shipping choice for free. So, I got them today! They are amazingly comfortable, and I love the green designs. The skates are very light on your feet, as well. But I'm comparing the weight to the extremely heavy aggressive skates I also have. Not the same brand.I bought these for transportation reasons on my university campus. It's much easier to skate around than to drive, walk, or bike. For any skater, I suggest these. K2 is a very durable brand. Thanks Zappos! You've made a happy customer.

There is nowhere in my city to purchase good skates! So after one tiny disappointment from Zappos, for which I still have approximately 294 days left to return, these gorgeous life-changers arrived. They are smooth, fast, comfortable, and as I recall, sponsor research toward breast cancer. What could be better?

K-2 Skates Athena - The K-2 skates Athena look great and fit great. I have a slightly wider foot (but I don't buy wide tennis shoes) and the skates are very comfortable on me, but you may want to order 1/2 size larger to fit like your regular tennis shoe size (glad I did or I would have had to send them back and order a larger size). Very comfortable. Color is lighter than appearing on picture (like a medium to darker pair of blue jeans and there is real denim trim on skates which I couldn't see (picture appears to be more black than blue). Very cute skate, wheels roll nice. Zappos shipping is very fast. Friendly, helpful people taking orders. Hope this review helps. Someone else's review helped me with sizing & saved me a re-order & return.

Excellent skate - K2 skates are super! If you hockey skate, the transition to these K2 skates is nice. They turn sharp, skate fast, fit well, same size as my CCM hockey skates, and I have a wide foot, are durable, and are great indoors skate. If you want to go faster indoors get the Moto hi-lows with (2 84mm and 2 80mm wheels) for a bit more. For outdoors if you want to go faster try the Motos 90mm, even more $, with larger wheel.IF you get a harder durometer, above 82A, you may go faster but bumps feel worse and you can not stick on turns indoors as well. If you get 100mm-110mm wheels turning is harder. For the pro skater it may not matter.

Skates rock - I have tried all the previous k2 models below these in past month on the track (Exo, Alum, Moto (Hilo). These are by far the best of the lot so far. Was going to try next up but I have found out Hilo setup not too good. Back wheels like to lost traction crossovering and you can flip back of your foot out while straight skating. I went with the 2008 model being k2 improved the fit for this year. I took off the 90mm wheels to “SAVE" the best for after break-in period. Comfortable from start just right after a few hours of skating and stayed there. With 80 wheels and ilq9 bearing these screamed, manuvered great. Most fun I have had since I got great equipment. Was able to try new thing and these skates stuck and worked flawless. Putting the 90mm back on today for next outing. I would recommend these highly. Everything stays snug, makes you feel secure skating and become more daring. Also like to say ZAPPOS rocks for K2 skates. Fast free shipping fantastic product. I dealt with another place during my trials and they rate a zero for K2's.

Great skate - I've been skating for fun for the past 10 years. And I must say that it is a really good skate with reasonable price (120 US). It is very soft and comfortable, yet you still have 100% control. This is a 2nd pair of rollerblades I have with K2, and they impress me every time.

First Impressions May Be Deceiving!I now had three training sessions with my new Soul 7s. Each session the skate has improved. Initial fit was stiff, but is getting better. Maybe because the material of the boot is leather and not the usual man made materials. They are decent looking skates. A bit refined compared to many brightly colored designs out there. The ride is a bit smoother and faster compared to my old Exo skates. I do have two complaints. The removable insole is very basic. Just a thin piece of foam. It does not cushion the soles of the feet very well. Also, the wheels/bearings are generic - no name brand. These skates are not high end, but they are not discount store either. So I would think K2 could have paid more attention to these two items.

Great workout skate - This is my second pair of K2 skates. After over 11 years it was time to replace my old pair. I picked these with the bigger wheels because they seemed to fit what I needed. I wanted a great workout with a smooth quick ride. I did have to get used to the wheel size and found the balance a little different, but over all love the skate. As always the boot is comfortable and a nice looking skate. K2 knows their skates!

Great skate, comfortable in the long haul - I've put well over 60 miles on these since getting them about a month ago, including the NYC skate marathon. I've had 0 blisters, chafing spots, or pressure points. They're very comfortable and well built. They're fast and more than stable enough to take me over the unforgiving terrain of Chicago streets and sidewalks. I've had K2 skates in the past, and therefore knew that these would be compatible with the shape of my foot, and knew what size to get. I would always recommend trying a skate on before you buy it, unless you're sure that they'll fit. On the other hand, I can vouch that these have no break-in period - they were perfectly comfortable from day 1. They're also quick and maneuverable - I use them to commute to and from work in Chicago, and so far I haven't had trouble dodging cars, dogs, or pedestrians. Having been a skater for 10+ years, I can say that these skates are a good bet.

Smooth and comfortable - I love these skates! It takes some time to get used to the lacing system, but once you get that down, it's like skating in your slippers. I skate 5 miles a day on a recreation path so they get heavy use and I've not been disappointed.

Excellent skates - and the shipping cannot be beat!I bought these skates approximately one month ago after a several-year hiatus. My old K2 Carbons were in fact quite old by this point and slowly coming undone. At the time I had thought they were quite the skate and comfortable too, but they can't hold a candle to my new Moto 90's. If you're not ready for 100mm-Speed Skates, these are the only blades I would recommend. They've held up well so far, and I've already put a good 50 miles on them (rotated the wheels once so far). Heck, for as well-cushioned and snug as they arrived, they hardly needed any breaking in. My third day owning them I went on a 22-mile trek and never once had to consider pain in my feet.Highly recommended!

Wonderful skate for an advanced intermediate skater - I've been fitness skating since 1999. I go along a shoulder of a state highway. The shoulder varies in width from narrow to several feet wide, and there are some very steep hills on my route. So I need a skate that I can trust and that will help me tolerate imperfections in the surface. After all, if I fall the wrong way, I could end up in the road, getting hit by a car going 60 mph.I bought the Moto 90 a few weeks ago to replace a pair of K2 Flight ALX that I've had since 2000. I am lovin' the Moto 90 skates. The 90 mm wheels do help, and I like that having big wheels mean that the rubber can be hard yet the wheels are forgiving. The comfort is very good, but not great...at least not yet. I might need a few more runs to feel really comfy in the skates, but they are certainly more comfortable than the Flight ALX.I tried the skates with the original insoles and with the Superfeet grey that Zappos recommends, and they are definitely better--more comfortable and more efficient--with the Superfeet insoles. One other thing I want to mention: Zappos was absolutely amazing in filling this order. I had decided on July 3 that maybe it was time for new skates. I called Zappos on July 4 (a pretty major holiday), late in the afternoon, to ask about sizing. (I had read people saying that these skates were a full size off. Incorrect: they are true to size.) I placed the order around 4:30 pm on July 4. And I had them by 10:30 the next morning! Wow. I have never encountered order fulfillment like that before.

Comfortable skates but poor quality - The skates are extremely comfortable and I can enjoy long sessions (> 25 miles) without problems. Having that said, the quality is somewhat poor: One of the shoelace began falling apart the first time I pulled on it, and the strap's buckle attachment ripped after only 2 months usage. Nothing a bit of thread couldn't fix but this never happened on my old rollerblades and Salomon skates and they lasted 5+ years each...

T:Nine Celenas are great! My T:9 Celenas have been everything that I expected. I had a pair of K2s that were from the 90's and I used them until they wore out. It was hard to find a good pair of skates so I bought a cheap pair and found out they were not the skates for me. I have only used my new skates a few times but I feel like I don't have to work so hard to keep up with my fiends and am really enjoying skating again. These skate move! If you have a bigger calf and a full foot this is definitely the skate for you.
