Because this shoe got numerous "recognition" mentions in publications, and because I thought it was cute, I ordered it despite the very high price. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the support, the fit, and the looks of the shoe. There's virtually no support, which maybe goes with an ultra light-weight shoe, but I honestly felt that my foot would be going all over the place in this shoe. The arch support was moderate at least. Cushioning is low to moderate. The fit on me (narrow flat feet with hammertoes and previous surgeries on both feet) was not good. Too loose in the body of the shoe and a half-size too short. (I think running a half-size too short is typical for K-Swiss but I didn't know that until later.) The toe box was nice and roomy, and the fabric on top of the shoe is very soft, so no problems with the hammertoe issue. Re looks: If you want to stand out in the crowd, these shoes will accomplish that. The yellow is bright, not subtle, and the black lines make the shoe look like a cartoon shoe to me. Because my foot was sloshing around in the shoe, that contributed to the too-big, sloppy look also. If it had fit, maybe it would have looked better. I can see why Zappos is not stocking this shoe fully. I can't recommend it. I actually searched the internet for availability and bought from another online supplier which is so far behind Zappos in service that it's unbelievable. The price was higher too. I am returning the shoes, and the site made it as difficult as it could to do the return. Since I had so much trouble with the online return, I decided to call. This was at 8:00 a.m. on a Friday, and the wait time was "over 8 minutes." I didn't wait but went back to the online return process and finally struggled through it. Yay Zappos for being so great!
Brands I'd also recommend: Nike, Merrell, New Balance

I love this shoe. Everything about it, everything! The color, the fit, the flexibility. It is very very light and I have not one complain. I switched from Nike Frees to this show because the Nike were causing a lot of blistering. I used Nike Frees for almost a year. This shoe is great for short and long distance. I am an endurance athlete and absolutely love it. About it not having much support, is really the purpose of the shoe. I can't say enough positive things about this shoe. I do run long distances in it and it is phenomenal. Will order in other colors once they are available. :-)

I had the K-Swiss Blade Light Run before these and I loved them so much, but since they were the white/red ones, they got filthy really fast (I run on canals and trails with them). I only wear minimalist shoes because otherwise I get foot and ankle pain, and because I hate wearing socks (it's 115+ during the summer here - you don't need any extra layers). These shoes have a much softer toe bed than the Blade Light Run, and they are much more cushiony throughout, but I still really like them. They feel good for moderate distance running but I've yet to take them out longer than 6 miles. The Blade Light Run can take you through a marathon, so my hopes are high for these. Overall, they are super comfy, even without socks, no blisters at all on the first run or the dozen-plus after that. The yellow is really bright but I love it. Some guy at the gym complimented them, too.

These were purchased for my 12 yr old daughter (too bright for me, but she loves them!) She has issues with her arch falling with certain shoes, and these are providing her with good support... no foot issues with these!

This is by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. It's lightweight and was comfortable right out of the box. It has great arch support and I love the bright yellow. Just wish it came in neutral colors too!

Holy crow... these shoes were just not for me! I honestly have bought ballet flats at Target that are more comfortable. There did not seem to be any support, and as soon as I started to move, the shoes pinched my feet. It seems you either love these shoes or hate them. I hated them. They also appeared cheaply made. Back to Brooks for me!

Bought these sneakers at a race expo and they have quickly become my favorite running shoes! Just enough padding, somewhere between minimalist and too much. I haven't had any pain or problems with them!

The K-Swiss Kwicky Blade-Light is a shoe that performs for me. I live in South Carolina where it is just plain hot most of the time! When I make long runs or race distance or tri sprints water runs down my legs and into my shoes. Some shoes absorb more fluid than others but extra fluid weighs your feet down and makes you very tired. After a lot of reserch I found the Kwicky Blade-Light. This shoe is so soft and comfortable it feels like a slipper. It has the flexibility of a minimalist shoe but has spring like cushion. The very best part of this shoe for me is that the sole insert has tiny holes in it allowing moisture through to the bottom of the shoe. The bottom of the shoe has holes and the moisture is released out the bottom. Feet stay dry and the shoe stays light. So whether you run through water or you just live in a humid climate this shoe is for you. Thank You K-Swiss
