The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their father´s death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today.
Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots.
When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justin´s patented J-Flex® Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the ¨Standard Of The West Since 1879¨.

I expected more from this boot. Would have liked leather to be less hard, more pliable... softer. Maybe with more wear? Anyway, there was too much boot around the ankle for me, kind of bulged out with them on. Very plain style which is what drew me in to this boot, but in seeing it up close just didn't have what it takes for me. Fair comfort... The Moka Arizona was a nice deep tan with some variation in color. I usually wear a 7 but I probably could have down sized 1/2. Thanks for the outstanding service as always Zappos!

It is really hard to find just a plain pair of leather boots! I have been looking for so long. Most have buckles, zippers, lacing and sometimes all three. These Justins will cover for my rugged life in the country and my sophisticated life visiting Oslo, Norway. And the lovely fragrance of real leather wafted out of their box! They did not even need breaking in. I wore them all day in total comfort. I am in love!
I'd also recommend: I'm into making footwear by hand.

This is just a great unadorned boot. It's comfortable almost immediately and the shaft is not too wide, but I can tuck in my jeans. Not too tall, not too short -- basically just a great all purpose boot. And the classic styling will stand you in good stead for many years to come.

Oh, how I adore this boot! I was looking for a cross between an English riding boot and a Western boot, and this is it. Its classic lines, nearly-flat heel, and pull-on styling are all riding boot, but the distressed leather and toe shape give it that Western edge. I purchased the brown distressed version, and the leather quality is great. My calves are rather athletic and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get the boot on, particularly without a zipper, but it slipped right on, fitting snugly over a pair of lightweight corduroy jeans. I ordered my regular size (9) and the fit is perfect. I am extremely happy with this purchase, and I may have to go back for the black ones next! If you have larger calves like me, you will be pleasantly surprised by this boot.

Heads up, Ladies! I'm not sure why, but I assumed these boots had a zipper of some kind. Not so! They are very difficult to pull on. There is a sort of loop, but it's very tight, too small for most fingers to fit into, and located more on the inside than the outside of the boot, so your leg and fingers are fighting for the same space as you try to pull the boots up. I was intrigued because of what seemed like a wider than usual calf, but the reality of the style is that they are as slim as most of the boots those of us with more athletic legs have been suffering from lo these last 10 years. I ordered a 7 and found the foot-to-calf ratio off - the shoe portion of the boot was more like a 7.5, and the calf portion more like a 6. Great if you're in the skinny leg camp, but not so much for the rest of us.
