Very cute shoe! It's dark and can look black until you hold it up to something black and then it's clearly blue. Fits well, very comfortable and good for running around.

These work great with my daughter's uniform and look equally appropriate for dressy casual. She has commented that the shoes feel good and are comfortable throughout the day. The leather shines up nicely and the non-marking sole is a plus. As for the free shipping/handling from Zappos, wow. The shoes made it here in under 24 hours. We were happily amazed! Ordered these for the second half of second grade. They arrived quickly and haven't disappointed. My daughter wears them 4 days a week with a uniform, her playground is black top and they are holding up well. True to size and comfortable. I would purchase again.

I bought these shoes for my granddaughter a couple of months ago. These are her second pair. She has very narrow feet and these fit her so well. They must be comfortable, too, because she choosing them over sneakers to wear with her play clothes. I am so glad I bought them for her and will probably buy them until she outgrows the style. She's four.

Great European like quality for a decent price - I was looking for a nice, but sturdy dress shoe for my 7 year old daughter. When buying shoes, it is important to me, to have all leather outer and inner, so feet can breathe. It is hard to find shoes like this here in the USA, for under $100, but this really fit the bill for half the price. Nice looking shoe, very flexible and all leather. My daughter loves the look of it and it fits her great.

Small adult - I am a very small adult. Just a bit over 5 feet. I wear the same size shoe, a kid's 4, ladies 5.5 that I wore in Grade 6, which was the 1978-1979 school year. I also have wide feet.And a high arch and instep. I bought these shoes in 4W. The length is fine, but they feel too tight. Like others have commented, I fond the shoes to seem narrow and to cut into the top of my foot. Not comfortable for my foot type. I will be sending them back. But I think they'd be excellent for a narrow foot without a high instep. The rest of the show was comfy and looked nice

Jumping Jacks saves the day! If your child has a truly narrow foot, this is about the only shoe for her. The padded heel does not slip. The higher stance of the toe box prevents gapping when her foot flexes, and the strap is long enough to pull really tight. Plus, the shoe feels great and is as supportive as a pair of sneakers. Jumping Jacks narrows run narrower than Stride Rite narrows (I swear Stride Rite doesn't really believe that not all kids have fat feet!) We have been buying them for years and can honestly say that our daughter always outgrows them before she wears them out, even with some heavy-duty walking. They just make a great shoe.

Overall great shoe!! This is a fantastic shoe. My 4 year old daughter never complained from the time she put these on. They are a very supportive, substantial shoe, but they are also very lightweight. She wears them to school and for casual dress. They are versatile, look good, and never give a problem (no blisters, they stay on all day, etc.) We have purchased these for over 2 years in both brown and black. The toes do scuff, but an occasional polish is well worth it for this excellent quality shoe.

Great shoe - This is a beautiful shoe with thick leather. I actually thought it was nicer than the Stride Rites that I typically buy my daughter. She loves them and says they're very comfortable. I did find that they run a half size small. They're great for a child with narrower feet or a narrow heel.

GREAT SCHOOL SHOES - We found these on a trip some years ago in Cape Cod and I've purchased them every year since from Zappos. The shoes are incredible, comfortable, for walking/running and they still look brand new in June - amazing. Highly recommended - my daughter is fussy with shoes and never ever complains about these.

My daughter's comfort - I love these shoes. This is third year my daughter has worn them as her primary school shoes and the 2nd year I have purchased them from Zappos. They are the only Mary Jane type shoe that my daughter has found to be comfortable and they have an arch to help her with her flat feet. Also, thank god they come in a wide width to accommodate her wide flat feet. Please continue to carry these shoes.

Great school shoe! My daughter had this shoe last year and it still looks new! She's getting it again this year. She has wide feet and the shoe was a bit high on the arch at first (even though we got the W size) but felt better after a few wears. She loves them. Very durable, comfortable, attractive and appropriate for school.

My daughter loves these shoes - My Kindergartener has worn these to school at least 2 days per week and on the weekends for the whole school year. She does everything in them and has requested that I buy another pair for next year. She is very picky about shoe fit and comfort and really likes these. I think they might run a tad narrow, which works for us as she has a slightly more narrow foot and likes her shoes to be really snugged down TIGHT! They are a nice navy that looks great with jeans and her school uniform. They look quite shabby now, and she has finally worn a spot in the interior footbed - duct tape to the rescue to get us to the end of school, but the shoe itself (cosmetics aside) has held up well. Still seems to be supportive, etc. I will be buying a pair to hold for next fall - hopefully, I will get the size right!
