  • Because this is a smaller lasted shoe, Josef Seibel recommends that if you are a half-size, you may want to size up (if you wear a US 7.5, select a 39).
  • This fisherman hybrid features a supple, soft full grain leather upper. The leather is naturally oil tanned, with vegetable dye completely through.
  • Handsewn construction gives extra life, flexibility and quality.
  • The handsewn upper is Double Lock Stitched, meaning it will not fray apart if you have a loose stitch.
  • No shank or stiff midsole. No break in period required, meaning comfort right out of the box!
  • Fully leather lined.
  • Air ped insole features 6mm of memory foam cushioning, which contours and shapes to the foot providing tremendous support.
  • Polyurethane outsole is shaped to be anatomically correct to fit the shape of your foot, providing arch support. Superb flexibility to go along with great shock absorption.
  • Classic "European Fit" is snug in the instep and heel and roomy in the toe box.

This "Geneva" is my first pair of Josef Seibel shoes. I ordered them in my regular size, 10, and they were way too small. I now have size 11 and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable and I hardly notice I am wearing them. The advice given online is to buy a 1/2 size larger, but a whole size larger is more appropriate. I usually wear Doc Martens so these feel VERY light weight. If they had size 11 in stock in other colors I would order them...... but no such luck.\r\nI wonder why they have so few of many of their shoes in stock? I checked other styles and the size 10 and 11 are frequently out of stock.

I love these sandals. I bought the brown to wear this summer and came back and got the black ones for winter. They are very comfortable with a nice roomy toebox so they are good for walking. I also was impressed by how fast they were delivered. I ordered them on Saturday and they came first thing Monday morning. Zappos service is the best!

This is a comfortable shoe with a soft upper, padded footbed, and fairly roomy toes. It is not very supportive; I\'ve had stress fractures in my feet, and consider it good for short walks, but I would not want to use for all-day walking. It works well with thin socks, but less well barefoot if you have sweaty feet (like me). The look is a bit edgier than it seems in photographs. I usually wear a size 10, sometimes a 10 1/2 or 11 if a shoe runs small. The 42 fit me well.

This will sound corny, but it\'s true: these are the best shoes I\'ve ever owned in my life! They are stylish and comfortable. Zappos was fast and efficient. This has been a wonderful experience!

Great for Wide, Bad Feet - My 3rd pair in 6 years. My second pair has plenty of life left, but as I don't know that I can face life without these shoes, I stocked up. The one issue is that the bottoms wear out more quickly than the rest of the shoe. But the masculine styling, quality workmanship and comfort for my wide, bad feet makes it a good choice for me.

A well made sandal but not very nice looking. I've only worn them once so far and they are comfortable on the bottom of the foot. However, by the top of the foot where the buckle strap is the leather rubs hard against me and walking can get uncomfortable. I hope this will improve when the leather is broken in.

I have very narrow feet so it is hard to find shoes with a roomy toe and a narrow heel. These are great. I hope to buy another pair, as they are very comfortable.

I loved these shoes. Very comfortable, though not great arch support. I used them in spring and summer only, and then as one of many pairs of shoes. However, each shoe wore out in the sole of the ball of the foot. Not good.

They seem to run a little smaller than all my other Josef Seibel shoes (and I'm not wearing socks with these), and without socks the insole sticks to your foot. But they are very comfortable and look really great.

My 2nd pair and still fabulous - I've owned many Josef Seibel shoes, with this purchase being my 2nd pair of Genevas. I purchased Geneva about 7 years ago. Truthfully, the 2nd pair is running smaller, tighter, and not quite as comfortable as the first. There was no break-in period for my first pair like there has been for this one. However, the Geneva is still an excellent shoe. Comfortable, stylish, and well-made, the Genevas do not have an over-pronounced arch, which is perfect for my foot. The insoles can also be removed. The best part...my 16 year-old daughter, who is hard to please, LOVES these shoes on me. My first Genevas wore out 2 years ago and I was unable to find this style anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was thrilled to find them on Zappos. They were a great price and arrived in 2 days on a Tuesday even though I ordered them on a Sunday night. I highly recommend these shoes and Zappos.

Exactly right! I wear an orthotic, and by buying a 1/2 size larger than I normally wear, the shoes fit perfectly. The leather is very soft, but the style of the shoe supports my foot very well. I want the other color now!

Funky & comfortable - This is my first pair of Josef Seibel shoes. I will absolutely be on the lookout for more. I stand on my legs all day, and so comfort is extremely important.

Run small - I wear a 10 usually. I ordered the 41 (10-10.5) which I usually order in Joseph Seibel shoes. These are too small. They fit like a 9.5. Otherwise, they're cute.

Not worth the money - I have another pair of Joseph Seibel shoes that from the first day I wore them, they were extremely comfortable. These sandals are HARD! The leather is very stiff with lots of little protrusions inside where the stitching comes together. I had to file some of them down with an emery board. I wanted a closed toe sandal, and at this time of the year in my part of the country, they are impossible to find, so I was happy to find the style I wanted. They are not the Seibel quality I expected. As commented by others, I ordered the larger size and they fit well.

Comfortable shoe - I enjoyed these from the start. No break in period they are soft and comfortable right out of the box. They are a bit smaller than the actual size. They look great with capris.

They seemed a little long for the size, they are relatively comfortable, but not for extended time walking.

OMG! I love these shoes~! I JUST got my shoes today, and I absolutely love it! To help the consumers get a better description than "they are great"... It would be good to know that they DO fit kind of snug. They recommend a size larger, but I am a 7 1/2 with sports shoes and depending on the dress shoe brand I can fit a 7. This shoe was sold out in an 8, so I tried the 7-7.5 and it fit just fine. I thought the sandal would be a little tough and hard to walk in but it wasn't! Its soft and has good cushion for long walks. I'm thinking of getting some additional arch support though. Maybe the company will improve on that next. Hope this helps! I am definitely going to try out another Seibel sandal!

A true classic fisherman sandal. This is my 2nd pair of Josef Seibel Genevas. I LOVE the look, the comfort, (once they are broken in) and the carefree style, which I wear year round. I walked all over England with them and they were so comfortable. I suggest that you break them in before any long excursions. They are a bit tight in the beginning but being the great leather that they are, they will surely wrap themselves nicely around your feet. I hope they NEVER go out of style. A true classic.

My second pair - I found these online and bought a second pair as they were still available. I bought my first pair 3+ years ago and have worn them everyday since – first for walking shoes, then as house slippers. The soles/arch supports are quite soft and did wear significantly, so I put supports in the old pair a year ago. The leather and stitching on the old pair are in perfect condition after 3 years.
