Great shoes. they were comfortable and I wore them to work, standing for 8 hours the first day. They are wider than others Josef Seibel's I have bought in the past and I was able to wear a 38 when I usually wear a 39.

I am so torn between keeping this sandal and returning it! Fits like a dream and extremely comfortable sole for walking. However... the toe box is so wide that it gives the end of my foot the platypus effect! I feel like I am wearing flippers. Needless to say that doesn’t make your legs look too attractive either. I am tempted to keep them as a comfortable travel sandal, however, I am afraid that I will end up not wearing them because they are just not pretty on the foot. They are a heavy sandal - probably because of the good sturdy walking sole. If they were less expensive, I would probably keep them.

You can't beat Josef Seibel for quality; however, the "European" styling of their shoes does take some getting used to in my opinion. These shoes are very well-made, comfortable [no breaking in period for me] and get the job done when I need to slip something on to run errands. However, I personally do not think they look good on my feet. If you're a "mom" jeans or "mom" shorts type of lady, these might work well for you [too]. Bottom line: great quality, comfort, however not the most attractive shoe.

These are beautifully well made shoes of top quality leather as one would expect of Josef Seibel. I used the word "shoes" and not "sandals" purposefully as given the wonderful tight weave of the fisherman styled front. They really are enough shoe that you can get away with trouser socks under them with slacks and have them look good. Not to mention the benefit of a sandal with a removable insole for folks who might use orthotics. Great option! That said, I really was torn about keeping these, but decided they were not enough "sandal" and too much"shoe" for what I needed right now. However, very comfy, although less comfy barefoot for me than with trouser socks and I tried them on both ways. I wear a 40 (9.0) in Seibel shoes and in this style the left foot was just big enough that it slid around without a sock on. I ordered another Seibel shoe (size 40) in this same Zappos order (Lindsay 2) and it fits like a glove on both feet. And closing on fit, I chuckled at the comments of another Zappos customer who described these shoes are giving a platypus effect to her feet. That's because I always say I have platypus toes...that is my toes are almost exactly square across the top! So a shoe with a wider toe box but a nice medium fit elsewhere with good heel grip are essential for me. And these fit that bill for sure. Including the adjustable mary jane strap across the top. I thought they looked darned attractive on, just more "shoe" than I wanted. But for comfort and design I'd recommend them to others looking for a dressier casual sandal for travel or office wear.

It\'s hard to find a comfortable, attractive summer shoe that\'s not open toe. These are great with jeans, shorts and casual pants and very comfortable.

These shoes are the best that I have had in a long time! They are well constructed, the leather is so very soft, and the sole is very sturdy. There was no break-in period; from day one, these shoes continue to be fantastic. I teach PreK, so that means that I am on my feet all day - nothing has been rubbing, squishing, or in anyway bothering my feet in these shoes. I think that they are also very cute, and therefore, I even ordered a pair in black, in addition to the brown. I highly recommend these shoes and Zappos is the best. Your service is terrific!

I have wide feet, and since this shoe doesn't come with a wide choice, I purchased a size 41 (size 10). If shoes come in a "wide" I can usually wear a size 9 1/2 or even a 9. I bought these shoes as I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking all over London on my trip. These shoes, and a Clarks pair were the only shoes I ended up being able to wear and not have my feet hurt after a long day of walking all over the city. I like the fact that the toe box of this shoe is wider and doesn't pinch my toes. The sole is flexible but sturdy. I generally like Siebel shoes, and this pair was a good choice for all the walking I did.

Comfortable, good looking as a sandal or shoe and this will be great for travel as well as around town. I especially like having a removable insole for those times when my feet act up and I need an orthotic. Only minor improvement would be velcro instead of regular buckle for fastener.

Wow! I love the style (or lack thereof?) and even though it's about the least expensive JS shoe I've seen, it is extremely comfy, and I think kind of stylish (in my way of thinking anyway). Comfortable on second day and from now on I want to live in them!

This is an extremely comfortable shoe. It is well made with beautiful soft leather. There is no break in period and they feel great all day long. This shoe is worth the cost. I highly recommend Josef Seibel Frita. I plan to buy the brown color.

This is a great all around fisherman sandal. The padded footbed lets me walk and bike all over town in stylin' comfort. This shoe felt good on my feet from the very first day and it's only gotten better. I'd recommend the Frita to anyone wanting a good active and lightweight sandal that will let you put on the miles.

This is the second pair of Josef Seibel shoes I have purchased and they are the best shoes I own bar none. I have a problem with my right foot and I really seek comfort the walking I do. These shoes have answered the call. I will buy more in future.
