This comfortable shoe does run a size small. I am a true 40 and needed the 41. They are perfect now!

I fall between and 8.5 and 9.0 in American sizing, depending on shoe and season. I own several pair of Seibel shoes in winter /fall styles in 40 (9.0 - 9.5) that I wear socks with. But in this shoe, which I'd be more likely to wear without socks, it was a tad too big, in particular for my left foot, in 40. Returned for size. Loved the brown color and versatile styling. Probably will not reorder in 39 as the toe box in this shoe felt just a little narrower than I prefer. Always grateful for Zappos free returns that make it possible to find the right size for my difficult feet.

Cute look, lightweight, but disappointing fit and support. Happened to have a Seibel shoe from a few years back on the other foot while trying this on. The roomier toe box and good support of my old Seibels were definitely lacking in this one, with a tight toe area even though I ordered a size up from my usual. Unfortunately, this one's going back.

Love these shoe's, I love Josel Seibel shoe's because they have a tendency to run narrow and I can wear most of them. These are very comfortable although I had to put innersoles' in them to fit my 2-AA foot!
