I bought these at a local store, not at Zappos. So why write the review? Because I am so picky and these shoes are so nice. I have two bad knees so for the rare occasion I have to wear suits at a trade show I must have comfort. Most brown comfort dress shoes are ugly and these were amongst the most attractive. But the others, including Ecco, were not even close in comfort. They compete with anything I own. I swear I could sleep in them. Why they are so much better in how they cuddle my shoes in leather is beyond me. I just went to Nordstrom and bought another pair of Ecco and Bruno Magli to make sure I was not losing my mind. I'm not. They are that good. I don't need a pair in black but may buy some anyway. They are that different.

A nice fall/winter dress/casual shoe with waterproofing applied straight out of the box. Not really styled for all suit types as they appear a bit bulky around the heal and ankle due to comfort padding but have a decent cotton pant or denim appeal to them. They are minimally stitched so there is some definition and character but not too flashy. Medium weight and constructed of a soft even leather.
Brands I'd also recommend: Cole Haan, Clarks

I have high expectations for my shoes. I travel extensively internationally and put many miles onto my shoes not only in airports, but also on the streets in all kinds of weather. Furthermore, I abide by a carry-on only policy so I need a comfortable, durable, multi-purpose shoe which works with jeans and suits. This is it. I've had them for 10 months now and with regular polish and edging they are doing great. These have not replaced my high end dress shoes, but are the only shoe I bring when I travel. They have survived the streets the rain, sleet, snow, and dirt of Beijing, Paris, and London as well as numerous manufacturing plant floors. These were also the shoes I had when I sprinted from the international terminal at O'Hare to gate C31 making a 35 minute connection!
