Amazing shoes. Have a black pair that I have been wearing a pair for 27 months, finally time to get a new pair. Still look great to this day, but the support is finally starting to wear out. Have had pair of Stricklin Moc Lace-Ups for the same amount of time, the Dobson blows it away from a comfort and look standpoint. Solid shoe.

I ordered this pair of shoes about 5 months ago. Nice looking pair of shoes and comfortable. The shoes are already falling apart. Sole is separating from the shoe and leather is pealing from the toe of the shoe. I do wear the shoes frequently but I don't think the shoes should be falling apart after 5 months.

Very comfortable shoes and there is no break in period. The soles are padded and it feels like walking on pillows.

I've been wearing a pair of Dobson Cap Lace Ups every work day for the last 16 months. The are incredibly comfortable, durable and stylish. After 14 months of daily wear and tear, I damaged a heel by being a little too rough. But I took the shoes to a local cobbler and he put new heels on for just a few bucks. To this day with just a little polish and a quick shine they look great. The rubber parts on the sole have actually held up better than I thought they would. Overall, I am very happy with these shoes. I will definitely buy Johnston & Murphy again. Highly recommended.

Nice pair of dress shoes! These are my 3rd pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes and the 2nd that I purchased from Zappos (I got the Shuler Bike from Zappos). The Dobsons are pretty comfortable for dress shoes, although not quite as comfy as the Shuler Bike, which are a bit more casual looking. Also, I noticed that the back of the Dobson shoes are slighter shorter than the Shulers, such that at first it felt like they would slip off my heels. That feeling went away after a few days of wearing them. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and would recommend them.

These are great shoes. Modern, yet classic at the same time. And very comfortable to boot. I have slightly wide feet, but I still think these run a tad narrow. I tried on size 9 and 9 1/2 at Macy's, and both were too tight in the width. Size 10 fit, but they were too long. Macy's didn't carry the wide sizes, so I went online and found Zappos. I ordered 9W, and, fortunately, they fit just fine. The sheepskin insoles are very soft and comfortable. No break-in period involved. These are shoes you could be on your feet in all day. I bought a pair of the mahogany color (Zappos' pictures are a very good representation of the color) and like them so much I plan to get a second pair in black.

I'd also recommend: Sandro Moscoloni makes shoes that are soft as slippers, though slightly less formal.
