Great backpack - I really like this pack. I don't use it everyday, but I recently used it for an overnight trip and had MORE than enough room for my stuff, and then some! Very easy to access all of the pockets and it's fairly comfortable. I think because mine is new, it feels a bit stiff, but that should change w/use. Definitely recommend this backpack.

Great pack! I bought this after coming back from a trip on which I wished at least 2 dozen times that I had a backpack. I was using a shoulder bag that was absolutely killing my shoulder and back. Jansport products are always well-made, so it was a no-brainier to go with this brand. I did hesitate a bit at the price, but Zappos makes returns SO SIMPLE that I knew I could just send it back if I didn't adore it. I shaved off one star for comfort, just because the straps are a little wider than they really need to be. However, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this pack to anyone. It's roomy and sturdy, and would work well for just about any purpose.

Good Backpack - This is good for school. It's got lots of room but doesn't look too bulky. I agree with the previous review that said the straps are kind of funky. They aren't designed perfectly for the user's comfort but they aren't bad enough that I wouldn't recommend the bag. There are plenty of pockets and it looks pretty sharp.

I ordered this backpack for my daughter. She liked the colors, and we normally buy Jansport for back to school. We live in a small town so we would have to do a day trip to find selection. It arrived quickly and is very sturdy and well made.

Loved and Hated - I loved this backpack when I had it last year, it was strong and so sturdy. Then- this year I ordered a backpack from Zappos, and a month into school it already has a ripped strap. I think the quality went down.

About JanSport
The story of JanSport bags and apparel begins in 1967 with three friends and their love for the outdoors. Jan Lewis, Murray Pletz and Skip Yowell lived in Seattle when they created their first framepack and the first panel loading daypack. Murray had just won a design contest for "The Best New Use of Aluminum" for the framepack the trio had fabricated in the transmission shop of Skip's uncle. Once climbers on Mount Rainier and other Northwest peaks saw the new pack, they wanted one for themselves. The rest is JanSport history.
The success of JanSport’s packs reaches across the globe and into various walks of life. For nearly 40 years, JanSport has provided world class bags and apparel that can take you anywhere and everywhere. Celebrating outdoor enthusiasts from the casual walker to the mountain climber, JanSport’s packs and apparel have got your back.

I bought the turqoise and white version. I was worred the color would be too neon, as I am 27 years old, but the color was very true to the color online. Others have mentioned uncomfort with the shoulder straps, however, I found them very comfortable when compared to my previous backpack. The reason I chose this backpack was all the pocket type and placement, and they're great. The one complaint I have is that the zippers could be easier to slide open and closed. Possibly they'll get better with more use. As always, Zappos shipping was phenomenal. Ordered at 4:30pm CST and received my bag at 10:30am CST the next day.

This backpack is great! I have been using it every day at school and it gets crammed with heavy textbooks all the time. The pockets are just right it fits textbooks, pen/pencils, calculator, a front pocket for smaller things like a wallet or phone, and the top pocket is great for carrying small snacks. There is also a separate pocket for a laptop, my 17 inch fits in nicely. The straps are really comfortable and distribute the weight of the backpack evenly. My only complaint is the handle strap as it is not made out of the same material as the rest of the backpack. That is more like the little straps that adjust the S-shaped shoulder straps, but it is still pretty durable. Overall, this backpack is pretty wonderful and seems like it will last a long time.

I use it for my 15" MacBook pro that has a snap on hard case and books for class. The MacBook pro slides right into the pocket without the case. With it however it is sometimes a battle to get it in and out. It makes everything feel lighter than it is. My old book bag from Swiss Gear feels like a suit case compared to this. The zippers are tough to get used to. Overall I love it.

Great product. Just right for my kids. We chose this because it wasn't huge, and it still had a water bottle slot. Fast shipping. Thanks!

This book bag is super comfy on my back! It has multiple compartments! It even includes a compartment for a 15 inch laptop which is really convenient. It is very spacious so there is plenty of room for large books! I love this book bag! A bonus is that it comes with a lifetime warranty!

Great bag! True to form. I got this for my high school freshman to use. Great pockets. We didn't need the laptop side pocket yet, but she loves it to keep folders and notebooks to keep from curling.

I was really picky and indecisive over buying a backpack for college, but after much research I decided on this JanSport! I absolutely love it and have been using it ever since receiving it (which I received in less than 24 hours of ordering, thanks to Zappos!) and have nothing to complain about. Fits just about everything you need, and then some. I got it in the black color and it looks very nice and sleek. Great purchase!

I love my backpack! It has so many different pockets but the best one is the laptop. It’s so convenient and easy to use. I also love the colors because it’s black but also has lots of color. The only thing I don’t like so far is the backpack is a little stiff, but I’m sure that will go away with time and use.

I bought this backpack for an upcoming one month vacation slash train trip. I like that it's well compartmentalized to keep me organized, I like that it's rather large in capacity without being overly ginormous, and I love that it comes in so many fun colors. The straps are comfy and the construction feels solid. My only real complaint is that the front pockets are so deep that it's difficult to access things when the bag is stuffed (as mine is right now). Definitely worth the price!

I bought this after my previous JanSport backpack tore. I use this daily for my public transportation commute to and from work. It is very lightweight, but roomy enough to hold my tupperware lunch container, a thermos, umbrella, and another lunch container - with room to spare. Very comfy on the shoulders too. I am 5'1" and don't find it too big, though it may look "big" relative to my size if I were to look at myself in the mirror. I expect to use this for years to come.

I love this backpack! It's perfect for me. I use it for school. I keep my binder, lunch and clothes in it and they all fit perfectly. It's durable and comfortable. I recommend this for everyone who needs a good sized backpack that's also durable. I like that it's black, so it doesn't matter what I'm wearing, it works no matter what.

Fantastic. Exactly what I wanted...a good, basic backpack with plenty of storage. Very sturdy, great for everyday use. The only negative I can come up with, and this is a very minor thing, is that in the middle pocket, there's a keychain strap that gets caught in the zipper.
