Awesome backpack. The quality of a Jansport but an updated, modern style. I use this backpack for a weekend bag and it is perfect and it fits my 15" Macbook and two changes of clothes. The black zippers are a great detail and this backpack will never go out of style!

I needed a new backpack for college and loved the monochrome. The backpack itself is sturdy and holds a lot, but after a few instances of walking to class in the rain or setting my backpack on damp grass the red suede at the bottom started to rub off on all of my clothing. It would wash out but I got sick of coming back from class with a red tint at the bottom of my shirts and top of my shorts.
Brands I'd also recommend: Roxy, Herschell Company

After looking through pages to find the right backpack, I chose this one in red. I started using it in September and it's currently November. It's very roomy and has a lot of space, and there's a pocket inside to store a laptop, but I just use it for a couple notebooks. Very useful! It's bigger than the regular Jansport backpack to fit a lot of items, but it doesn't look too bulky. Great for a highschooler like me. I agree with another reviewer, the suede red bottom color does rub off on clothes. The first time I used it, I was wearing white shorts. Gosh, and I didn't even notice until I got home! It does come off in the wash, but it gets a bit annoying when you have to keep washing your clothes. After these months, it doesn't really rub off anymore, but it has gotten dirty. I don't really mind it though, because the suede bottom is meant to keep the backpack itself from becoming dirty, so it does what it's meant to do, along with providing a sturdy bottom. I'm sure I can put it in the washer later on if I have to. Overall, I still give it five stars! Lots of space, comfortable, stylish, sturdy. These things really make up for the color rubbing off. I plan to use it for years, and the price is worth it. And I have to say that I really love the red color! All the other colors look great as well, but I imagine that they would rub off also. I still recommend getting it! Just be sure to wear dark clothing the first few times you use it! (:

About JanSport
The story of JanSport bags and apparel begins in 1967 with three friends and their love for the outdoors. Jan Lewis, Murray Pletz and Skip Yowell lived in Seattle when they created their first framepack and the first panel loading daypack. Murray had just won a design contest for "The Best New Use of Aluminum" for the framepack the trio had fabricated in the transmission shop of Skip's uncle. Once climbers on Mount Rainier and other Northwest peaks saw the new pack, they wanted one for themselves. The rest is JanSport history.
The success of JanSport’s packs reaches across the globe and into various walks of life. For nearly 40 years, JanSport has provided world class bags and apparel that can take you anywhere and everywhere. Celebrating outdoor enthusiasts from the casual walker to the mountain climber, JanSport’s packs and apparel have got your back.
