I purchased this backpack for my high schooler and was extremely happy with how much space it offers. There are 2 very roomy main comparments along with 2 smaller ones. It is made of a durable material and looks classy!

The backpack is great, although the color is not exactly as it appears in the photo (it's a lot more green) and it's not nearly as comfortable as the North Face backpack I owned before this. I used this backpack to sew sixteen patches on, and it turned out really well.

Great for college. It's got a large capacity, great for lots of textbooks. Has a padded laptop sleeve. Navy color goes nicely with the classic style of the bag. Fabric feels strong and light. Cons: straps not padded enough for comfort with heavy loads. No cooling channels on back side. Overall, good value and recommend it.

My daughter found this backpack online after we searched local stores and could not find one she liked. It is well-made and has the laptop holder which is perfect. It is also a nice print. She is using it for High School.

About JanSport
The story of JanSport bags and apparel begins in 1967 with three friends and their love for the outdoors. Jan Lewis, Murray Pletz and Skip Yowell lived in Seattle when they created their first framepack and the first panel loading daypack. Murray had just won a design contest for "The Best New Use of Aluminum" for the framepack the trio had fabricated in the transmission shop of Skip's uncle. Once climbers on Mount Rainier and other Northwest peaks saw the new pack, they wanted one for themselves. The rest is JanSport history.
The success of JanSport’s packs reaches across the globe and into various walks of life. For nearly 40 years, JanSport has provided world class bags and apparel that can take you anywhere and everywhere. Celebrating outdoor enthusiasts from the casual walker to the mountain climber, JanSport’s packs and apparel have got your back.

A really well-made pack, roomy without being too heavy. Good looking; it meets the exacting style specifications of a new 6th grader (if you know what I mean, and I think that you do). The shape of the straps fits well on her slender frame, helping her carry the over-loaded pack. (Notebooks, check. Running shoes, check. Piano binder, check. Book to read, check. Lunch box, check.)

Great bag-- roomy and practical. I use the thinner large compartment for my laptop, and it works great.
