Fantastic. Exactly what I wanted...a good, basic backpack with plenty of storage. Very sturdy, great for everyday use. The only negative I can come up with, and this is a very minor thing, is that in the middle pocket, there's a keychain strap that gets caught in the zipper.

I've been very happy with this tote! It's larger than I hoped (I wanted something a little smaller for carrying things to and from work), but I saw someone elses comment about it working great for a gym bag because of the inside and outside pockets, a place for the water bottle, etc. That's what I also use it for and it's great!

This Ella tote is the best! You can fit a mac computer in the sleeve and still have a ton of room to fit other things. Very durable and comfortable. Big enough to fit a lot of things but not bulky at all. Very comfortable on your shoulder. Buy it, you'll love it! Very good find. Thanks Zappos, you guys got it to me the next day. Best service!

These are eExtremely soft! They are such a great size as well. I use them mainly for work and traveling and I have never had any problems. They are definitely a great buy!

Overall, for the price this is a useful and roomy tote with a separate compartment for an ipad/tablet or 13 inch notebook, however, the compartment does not have extra padding. The online description says it has a 15 inch laptop sleeve, however, the tag attached to the bag says 13 inch. I have an iPad with a cover and I'm not too sure that a 15 inch laptop would fit comfortably. I needed a tote for work that had an outside pocket for water or thermos and this fit the bill. Another reviewer mentioned that the mesh water bottle pocket is black, not white as in the pictures, which was also the case for the bag that came with my order. I actually prefer that it is all black. I'm looking forward to using this although I think it looks big on me. The material and construction does not seem to be as durable as a Timbuk2 messenger bag that I have. Overall, however, it seems well constructed for the price, is lightweight, and meets my needs.

This bag is so great! It's very comfortable and very light, it seem you don't bring anything at all.

This bag is not a bag for a netbook. The netbook divider is very flimsy and is not secure for your netbook; and you can't fit it in there if it's in a case. The handles barely have any padding on them, which is not good if you are trying to stuff the crap out of this bag. I think if they are going to go flimsy on the padding for the handles that this bag needs a strap. The water bottle holder is nice. I think this bag could use two of them actually. I got 2 big textbooks in, a stuffed folder and a 5 subject notebook in (barely) along with my netbook, as well as my wallet and other things from my purse like my glasses case, keys, etc. This is not a good bag if you really have a lot to carry, so if you are a college student like me with a lot of books, this is not for you. If you are just going to one or two classes though with a notebook and a folder then this is for you. I am keeping this bag for occasions where I do not need a lot so I do not have to take my purse with me too. This is not a great tote for a netbook. If you truly want a netbook tote do not go for this one. If you do not want it for that purpose then go for this one. All in all, I do like Jansport. I have a backpack from them that has lasted me since high school and all through college. They are still a good company despite some minor changes that need to be made to this tote. Zappos had delivered this bag to me with the estimated delivery in secure packaging. No complaints Zappos. I will buy from Zappos again for their good service.

Someone gave me the caramel leopard print backpack years ago and I still have it and love it. I use it as a carry on when I fly, and it fits easily underneath the seat. Not only is it stylish, but it has a lot of room, and it has held up through all of the abuse that it has gone through through the years. It is extremely durable, and I would recommend this backpack to anyone looking for a backpack.

Better looking in person than the picture. It appears very durable, although I haven't used it yet. Plus Jansport brand offers lifetime warranty! Very happy with this bag and purchase. I'm going to use it for an overnight bag or weekend bag for quick trips.

I love the color and the size. The strap is not necessarily comfortable, and the bog is pretty thin, but it seems pretty sturdy.

I love this backpack! It's perfect for me. I use it for school. I keep my binder, lunch and clothes in it and they all fit perfectly. It's durable and comfortable. I recommend this for everyone who needs a good sized backpack that's also durable. I like that it's black, so it doesn't matter what I'm wearing, it works no matter what.

I ordered this for my husband so he could retire his former JanSport backpack of 15 years. He loves it!

Great design for a student! Not too simple, but not too complicated. I always prefer to have a backpack with a small pocket at the top (for things like lip balm and my MP3 player), so I'm very pleased that this has one, plus a laptop sleeve, plus a few other easily accessible places to keep things like pens and pencils. This backpack accommodates all of my things with plenty of room. I like that I can carry my textbooks, folders, laptop, and other supplies without feeling like the backpack is going to bust open at the seams. Overall, the quality seems to be great. The only thing that I'm not sure about is the fabric on the undersides of the shoulder straps; it seems a little thin and loose, so I hope that it doesn't wear through or rip anytime soon. But if that does happen, Jansport has a lifetime warranty which should take care of that. Other than that, awesome backpack. The shoulder straps themselves are quite adequately padded; the foam feels like it will stand the test of time and not go flat. Not to mention, it's a very sharp looking backpack! Maybe a step below The North Face in quality, but a step above in design.

The perfect backpack! After purchasing (from Zappos) 2 others (Patagonia/North Face). I found this one at an out of state store. Of course Zappos had it, and on sale. So, needless to say the other 3 backpacks (too small for my needs) were returned. This pack is very light, it has 2 big major compartments, and four other ones for different needs. This pack is perfect my Catalina Island trips. I will fit all of my clothes and my husband's too. I use it everyday to haul all of my stuff instead of using a tote bag that kept falling off my shoulders. Buy it. It is free!

So far, this looks like a sturdy backpack. And it is very roomy inside which was my other concern. There is plenty of room for two big binders, a couple of textbooks as well as notebooks. I am happy with it so far.

I really like this backpack! I picked it because this was my favorite out of the 3 options JanSport offers for a 17" laptop. Good, sturdy backpack. Holds a lot!! If it's too spacious, there are straps on the sides that can be pulled tighter. The only things I would change is that I wish there were more pockets and I would like a cross strap on the front.

Overall, a pretty good backpack. I like the design, as well as the design of the pockets, and it's also very waterproof. However the straps are kind of awkward - they are not completely padded, so they can cut into your shoulder if you like to wear your backpack up high. The pack is also somewhat on the small side but it fits all my school gear pretty fine (laptop, books).

I bought this after my previous JanSport backpack tore. I use this daily for my public transportation commute to and from work. It is very lightweight, but roomy enough to hold my tupperware lunch container, a thermos, umbrella, and another lunch container - with room to spare. Very comfy on the shoulders too. I am 5'1" and don't find it too big, though it may look "big" relative to my size if I were to look at myself in the mirror. I expect to use this for years to come.

First, I love Zappos! They always deliver really fast. I love the JanSport. It is pretty large, my 9 year old needed one just like this. At her new school the kids move around to class to class and she was carrying all her books. I love the fact that it is a JanSport because it is not as huge as other wheeled back packs. It is big enough for a great carry-on too.
