Loved the concept of the shoe but the strings should have been fully functional. The shoe was too wide and and heel cup was too large. I have a narrow foot, so this shoe may fit a fatter foot.

Very comfortable. Good for walking and other activities. However, the first time I wore them I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and got a bad blister on my heel, so they need to be worn with socks if used for this purpose. I also have a hammertoe and bunion so the width is perfect for not increasing pressure in those areas. Would recommend to other customers.

The Jambu is an amazing shoe! They were so comfortable I could wear them all day and evening the first day I put them on. They were also true to size, perfect, comfortable fit. Every time I wear them I'm asked by someone where I got the "cool" shoes.

I didn't like this shoe and sent it back. It fit just fine but the straps are scratchy and not as adjustable as you might expect. I like the barefoot feel so I don't mind the lack of support or cushioning -- that's the only thing I did like. Also, I found it unattractive and unflattering, which would be fine for a comfortable water shoe. But this wasn't comfortable and I think it would be even more uncomfortable if it and my foot were wet. The straps seemed torturous. Jambu, I like your ideas and your ideals, but this is the second style of yours that I've tried and they both have the "scratchy" problem. And I would not consider myself sensitive to that...i.e. I don't typically find shoes to be scratchy. What gives? Doesn't anyone there at the company try on your shoes without any socks? Or do you expect me to wear "water-ready" shoes with socks?

Brands I'd also recommend: Mountrek, Teva, Freewaters, Five-Fingers, Vivo Barefoot (Please Zappos! get this brand so I don't have to shop anywhere else), Nike Tenkay (though I don't wear them because they're too narrow for me)

Love the Jambu's! They are the bomb. Wore them on the beach to shell and they rubbed a blister on the heels the first time I wore them, but think it was my fault. Otherwise, very very comfortable and so cute.

These shoes are so cool and comfortable. The soles are kind of squishy like the old "jelly" shoes, but much more durable. If the bungee straps are too tight and leave marks, just loosen them and they're fine. Love 'em!

Perfect in every way! I needed a lightweight shoe for travel that could withstand rocky, dusty, and muddy conditions, and not take up much room. These are amazingly comfortable---no breaking in necessary, supple nubuck, sensitive sole. They really do offer the feeling of being barefoot but with the protection of a shoe. Am taking them trekking in Ethiopia in a few weeks and can't wait---in the meantime they've been ideal for wearing in the city during a wet spring. Love this shoe, and the red is a great color.

I just received these shoes, but I have been wearing them for a few hours and they are fantastic so far. Extremely comfortable right out of the box, sharp looking, and well made. I would say they are definitely worth the money. I was hesitant to order based on a couple of reviews saying the straps on top were uncomfortable, but I think I know why. I ordered two different sizes, and the size I am going to keep is 1/2 size smaller than I would normally wear. The size I would normally wear was a little loose in the heel and in order to compensate for that, you have to tighten down the top straps to an uncomfortable point. So if anyone has that problem, I would guess you might have 1/2 size too large. Since these are made to be worn without socks, sizing down the half size seems to be a good way to go. I am taking these on a trip to Asia soon, and I am confident they will be sturdy enough for hiking and versatile enough for ocean sports too. They are also much more cushioned and supportive than I would have guessed but are also ridiculously lightweight. Hope that helps!

I absolutely love these shoes. They run true to size and are very comfortable without socks. I love the barefoot feeling and find the straps adjustable enough and very comfortable for my foot. I look forward to wearing these--the closest thing to barefoot with a little cushion. So glad I bought them--they are fun and stylish yet oh so comfortable.

Ordered a pair and they were stretched out. Called Zappos customer service and they sent a replacement pair immediately which I got the next day. No questions asked! Got them the next day and return was simple. The second pair are awesome and comfortable although it took a couple of times wearing them to mold to my feet. Zappos customer service goes above and beyond and I do as much ordering from there as possible.

These shoes are super cute but for me have a major issue in that the Jumbu tag which sits under your heal is hard and digs in. I just walked a couple miles (I regularly walk 10+ miles so have pretty tough feet) and have blisters on the bottoms of both heals. I'm going to try a heel insert as I adore these otherwise. Also, I agree with sizing down. I ordered my normal size 8 at first but they rubbed the back of my heal mercilessly. The 7.5 are just right.
