Double-knit jeans? It sounds weird, but they're actually very comfortable, a bit dressier than denim, and great for travel. These run slim, which works for me.
Brands I'd also recommend: Jags are the best!

These are truly a closet staple for me. I took another reviewer's advice and ordered a second pair so I would always have a clean pair ready to wear! They are so comfortable and stylish. They can be worn tucked in your favorite boots, or with any shoes. I'm 5'9" and 130 lbs. and they fit like they were made for me! Awesome pants! And, as always, Zappos' service is truly the best! Very comfortable, very nice fit. The size 12 seems true-to-size, although they might be stretching out a little too much as the day goes on. I'm 5'7" and love that the inseam is so long.

These are pretty Amazing Pants! They are my new favorites. I bought two pairs. They are incredibly soft and comfortable, while at the same time somewhat structured so that I look neat and pulled together. Not a typical hard finish jeans-type look. If you are short waisted they are very flattering, in that they minimize the tummy. The narrow leg maximizes the leg length. All in all these are the very best. These will be my go to pants for travel, since they are light weight and can be easily rolled up in a carry-on, if need be. If you have to be in an airplane seat for a long time, these would be comfortable and you would still look neat after the long haul. The accompanying photo does not do the pants justice. I am wearing them with flattering shoes so they hang nice and neat and do not appear as scrunchy as the photo depicts them. Jag has a range of nice pants. I already have their pull on jeans, which are nice, as well as the cords. Thanks Zappos!

I ordered these based on the reviews but I thought they were very unflattering. Higher waist than expected, tight in the waist, made me look chubby in the belly and made my thighs look like sausages. The fabric isn't heavy enough to hide any lumps or bumps. These may be better for younger women.

Great pants. Very soft fabric with a lot of stretch. After a few days they do stretch out a bit but never feel too baggy. The fit in 8 was good but I thought the waist band was bigger than usual so I ordered size 6 and they fit better. As with all Jag pants though, I needed to have them shortened as I am just grazing 5'5".

Great pants but they do stretch out. Also, I found that the waist on the size 8 (which is my usual size) is very large and gaps so I need to cinch it in with a belt. I plan to reorder these but in a size 6. Very soft fabric and a nice fit.

I wanted to love these jeans but I don't. I have two pairs of them and both get really baggy in the knees and butt during wearing them. They do look great with boots though.

I love these jeans! They can be dressed up with nice boots (tuck in well) or dressed down with flats. They are flattering and so comfortable. I never wear my jeans anymore! Don't need to order a size up even though they are slim cut - they have enough stretch to them yet stay snug. And I can just throw them in washer and dryer.

These are the softest, most flattering slacks I have ever worn! I feel guilty when I get a compliment on them because it feels like you are wearing your pajamas. I do receive many compliments on the fit of these slacks. The slim fit in the name should not put you off, I'm a healthy size 14 and they are not the least bit tight. Zappos, as always rocks!
