I usually wear a size 6, but I have another pair of button-waist Jag's in an 8, so I ordered both sizes. When I tried them on, I wasn't swimming in the 8 - they were just a tad too loose in the rear; the 6 fit me perfectly considering that the material has nice give. Because of the details in the cut and the nice weight of the fabric, they are cute on (though absolutely not with a tucked-in shirt) and look fresh after a busy day. The wide waist band smooths over my midriff with a little support which makes them extra comfortable. I like the classic dark wash too. Tapered or peg-leg capris are trendy now, but I think they are best on those with very narrow hips. These capris have a straight leg and this wider leg-opening is more flattering for women with curves and look preppy or classic. These jeans also have slightly lower placed back pockets (like the coolest brands such as Joe's, Seven and COH) which give them a hipper and flattering look from the all important rear view.
