I just got my Nylon Canvas Computer Field Bag II today, which was overnighted free of charge; due to my VIP account. I thought the bag would be lighter. After loading it up with books and a computer, it felt slightly uncomfortable; so a version with a padded strap would be more convenient. However, what [points] it loses in comfort, it gains in quality; it's durable. It makes the perfect airport carry-on bag as well. I would say this version is better than the regular version that a friend has, primarily due to a lack of versatility.
Brands I'd also recommend: WeSC, Modern Amusement, etc.

I purchased this as a replacement for a Mobile Edge backpack I had for 4 years. While it doesn't fit as much as my previous bag, it still has enough room for my laptop, few books for school, and newspapers/magazines I carry. Very spare on the pockets, but I'm actually enjoying that fact. The canvas has been holding up well and looks better than nylon or other materials. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a great looking laptop bag.

Form and function in one great bag. It's light, it holds everything and is stylish - what more could you want.

Awesome bag, very stylish. I've received at least 2 compliments (and many more jealous stares) this last month that I've had the bag. Plenty of room for my notebooks, a textbook and my 17" Macbook Pro. Lots of utility pockets that are well hidden as well.

So far i\'ve found this to be a great bag. The craftsmanship is fantastic and the size accommodates my laptop and whatever else easily.\r\n\r\nMy only complaint would be that the bracket for adjusting the shoulder strap doesn\'t stay put, so you\'re constantly adjusting it, but i think this is on purpose to make it easier for people with bikes. At any rate, i\'d definitely recommend this bag to anyone that needs a classic, durable, stylish laptop bag.

This is a really great bag. It's functional and attractive at the same time. There is plenty of room to carry around my 15" MacBook Pro, notebooks, wallet, phone, iPod, etc. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable and comfortable whether I wear it across my body or on my shoulder. The only thing missing is a handle, which would be helpful, but, overall I'm very happy with it!

I am a slave to fashion, but if product isn't functional, I won't bite. Period. I am short, and most messenger bag straps don't shorten down enough so that the bag sits comfortably on my lower back-upper bottom. This bag does. Not only is it comfortably positioned, but the stylish strap is comfortable even though it doesn't have one of those shoulder pads. Finally, you can't beat Jack Spade's balance of form and function. This bag is simple, but elegant and it has well designed pockets that fit my computer, books, and supplies. I will only buy Jack Spade bags from now on. They're beautiful without sacrificing utility.

I love this bag. The quality of the materials used is superior. I bought the tank color bag and at first I was a little shocked by the green color but after using it for a while I'm convinced that Jack Spade made a great choice of colors here. The inside is lined with a bright orange lining that is a perfect compliment to the green tank color of the bag. The strap is the perfect width and feels very durable and comfortable. Also I am 6'5" and the bag fits my long torso perfectly.

I have wanted one of these ever since I saw one. As a big fan of messenger bags (or European accessory bags) in general, I have been looking for an upscale, yet understated messenger bag for a while. My biggest hurdle was the price, but I finally got it and all was great once I got it...love it. Understated, classy, and the Velcro (which I thought I would hate) is really nice because there are no metal zippers jangling into one-another all the time.

I bought this for my boyfriend as a gift. It's very simple, but a great brand with great construction. He loves it! It can be dressed up or down so to speak, so it's very flexible.

This is a nice bag. I'm a woman, and it works well for me; looks stylish and not too masculine, but on a man it would look masculine and not feminine. The only things that make it a bit less useful for me are the velcro, which some folks will like. For me, I dislike the loud velcro noise every time I hope the bag, and the toothy velcro pieces have a tendency to snag my clothes. Also the bag is a bit on the small size for all the small, yet heavy side. But it's still quite useful. I've carried a 13" Macbook, as well as an iPad and bluetooth keyboard along with passport, wallet, glasses cases, etc. all comfortable and without a fat bulging bag. Not perfect but overall stylish, useful and pretty good value.

I bought this bag for my husband's birthday. He wanted a bag that he could use for work, but wasn't leather. It fits a 1.5 inch binder (or his 14 inch laptop) plus an umbrella no problem. It’s simple but stylish. We recommend it!

I love this bag. My only complaint is how sexually aggressive it makes any of-age female within about 25 yards. Christ women, my eyes are up here. The daily assault of ladies is my cross to bear now, but I guess it's my only complaint. Oh, that and it can only hold my laptop and maybe a sheet of loose leaf. So recap: Attempted sexual assault, fine; only holding the MacBook Pro and a stick of gum, could have used a heads up.
Brands I'd also recommend: Puma, but I'm not their father.
